2020 NAB AFL WOMEN’S COMPETITION OFFICIAL FIXTURE AFLW CONFERENCES EXPLAINED CONFERENCE A CONFERENCE B > Conference allocation uses the 2019 final finishing positions. > Snaking allocation applied – this method creates the most even balance of wins from the previous season across conferences. > Expansion teams allocated to minimise travel for QLD and WA teams (Gold Coast SUNS and West Coast Eagles) and based on an assessment of the strength of the expansion lists. > Teams play all other teams in their own conference and two teams from the opposite conference. > Cross-conference determined by playing one top four and one bottom four team from the opposite conference, whereby the fourth-ranked team are considered to be in the top four and the bottom four. Complementing the Annual Report are the Honorary Treasurer’s Statement of Financial Performance for the year ended 30 April 2021 and the Statement of Financial Position as at that date. The Annual Report is placed online, but is available to be sent as a book to members on request. Season 2020-21 highlighted the outstanding commitment members of this Association make to cricket. Throughout a season impacted by COVID-19 it was match officials who lead from the front in ensuring that an incredible amount of cricket could be played in a safe environment. Our largest stakeholders commented positively on members and their empathy and leadership shown when dealing with players, managers and coaches in circumstances never seen before. The Association is held in high regard for its comradery amongst members and its positive contribution to cricket. Role in NSW/ACT • Primarily our objective is to improve the physical environment for AFL participants. • Our secondary objective is to raise the profile and visual presence of AFL through new and enhanced facilities. We achieve this by: - Using FDR funding to improve the scope of projects and achieve AFL preferred standards for community facilities; - Acquiring new grounds in high exposure locations where expansion is envisaged; and - Acquiring new grounds in established areas where demand for AFL is high. © Australian Football League 2012. This document is confidential and intended solely for the use and information of the addressee 2 What is the FDR? • The FDR is the AFL’s Facility Development Reserve that is allocated towards improving community facilities across Australia; • Between 2007 – 2012 NSW & ACT will receive approximately $2.5m ($500k p/yr) from the FDR to allocate towards developing our community facilities; • The FDR is used to assist Leagues & Clubs in securing financial commitment from Federal, State and Local Councils, other sport user groups, sponsors, local community and business organisations towards upgrading their facilities; and • Generally the maximum contribution from the FDR is up to 10% of the total project cost. -

Compiled from records kept by The Council of the City of Wagga Wagga, with additional research and editing (in an honorary capacity) by WILLIAM R ELLIS, Town Clerk of the City of Wagga Wagga 1960-1984 Published by The Council of the City of Wagga Wagga. 1990 Table of Contents FOREWARD It is appropriate that a local publication of this nature should be produced. Although it deals essentially with the historical aspects of the naming of streets, roads, etc., of the City of Wagga Wagga, these pages will be the means of imparting to local people and others, the significance of names so applied over the years. At the same time, it will, I am confident, be of tremendous interest to a great number of people, both young and old. Wagga Wagga, in common with the Riverina Area of New South Wales, has played a significant part in the development of this State, as well as Australia as a whole. The City has grown from small, humble beginnings into an important, regional centre, which can justly be claimed to be the largest inland centre of population in New South Wales. Today it proudly lays claim to be "The Garden City of the South". It has derived a certain prominence throughout Australia and Overseas by reason of the plurality of its name and the peculiarity of its pronunciation/spelling; from various legends, folk lore and historical influences - as well as from a few former resident who have, in a number of ways, participated for various reasons in the National and International 'spotlight'.
