Administrative Paper

The following points should clarify the administrative issues for the European Military Academies Commandants’ Seminar 2021 (EUMACS 2021). Should you have any further question, please do not hesitate to contact the POC for the event: LTC / Assist. Prof. Menezes E-mail: @academiamilitar.pt

1) Accompanying staff • Commandants/ Rectors / Superintendents are invited to bring one Accompanying Officer per institution. • Each Accompanying Officer is requested to fill out the ‘Application Form_Accompanying Officer’.

• Participants who book accommodation at the recommended hotels will have transport to and from the Military Academy for the ice-breaker, EUMACS, and hosted dinner.

3) Meals • Breakfast is included in LUX Lisboa Park Hotel's booking but not included in Moxy Lisbon City Hotel (6€). • The Military Academy will host lunch and dinner on 28 May. • Participants with food restrictions should specify them in the Application Form.

4) Dress Code • Ice-breaker: Smart casual • EUMACS: Service dress uniform • EUMACS hosted dinner: Suit and tie

5) Transport • Transport will be provided from to the hotels on the day of arrival. • All the transport after arrival and before departure will be provided by the Military Academy as well. • Participants who arrive with their vehicles will receive further details after returning the Application Form. • Transport to the airport on the day of departure will be the participants’ responsibility.

6) Spouses • Participants’ spouses are invited to participate in the ice-breaker and hosted dinner. In case they do not participate, please inform the POC of

• There will be a guided tour during the morning of the 28th. Please, check the box in the Application Form referring to this topic and answer ‘Yes’ or ‘No’.

7) Application Form • Attached you can find the paper version of the Application Form • Participants are asked to download this form from the EMILYO homepage (as a Word document), fill it electronically, and return it to us. • For download, please use: http://www.emilyo.eu/node/878 • Scroll down to ‘EUMACS 2021’ and click on ‘Application Form (Word).’ • Please, return the Application Form NLT 19 April 2021 to [email protected] • Data protection: Participants’ data will be used for internal administrative procedures only and never published. The name/institution/position/e- mail address will be included in a booklet issued only to EUMACS 2021 participants. In case participants do not agree to this, they should inform the POC of the event.

8) COVID – 19: Measures implemented in Portugal • Flights to Portugal Air travel to and from Portugal is allowed to: - countries; - Schengen Associated Countries - Liechtenstein, , Iceland, Switzerland; - Australia, (including Hong Kong and Macao), South Korea, New Zealand, Rwanda, Singapore, Thailand, and Uruguay.

All passengers must present proof of a negative test to COVID-19 (RT-PCR), carried out within 72 hours before boarding time.

Essential travel is allowed only to passengers coming from countries with an incidence rate of 150 cases or more per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days - , , , , , , , , , , , Norway, the , , Switzerland.

Essential travelers coming from countries with an incidence rate equal or over 500 cases or more per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days - , , , , , , , , , and – must also comply with a prophylactic isolation period of 14 days after entering mainland Portugal, at home, or in a place indicated by the health authorities. The prophylactic isolation does not apply to passengers traveling on essential trips and whose period of stay in national territory, attested by a return ticket, does not exceed 48 hours.
