I chose winne the pooh because he is a cute chubby little golden bear. Bears are my favourite animals. This story shows how Canadian solders sacrifice there time and life to save Canada.

Harry Meets Winnie

Harry met a bear cub. Harry was a soldier. His name was Harry Coulbourne. He met Winnie at white river, Ontario. He named her Winnipeg bear because he grew up in Winnipeg. Winnipeg’s nickname was Winnie. Winnie was a girl. Harry was a

Canadian soldier. He was also a veterinarian which is an animal doctor.

Harry and the Army

Harry had to go to world war 1. First, they went to Quebec. Next, they went to

England. Winnie became the mascot for Harry's troupe in England. His troupe was called the 2nd Canadian infantry brigade.

The London Zoo

When world war 1 happened, he couldn't take Winnie with him to France, so he donated him to the London zoo. He was not allowed to take her to France.

Christopher Robin and his dad A.A Milne went to the zoo a lot to see Winnie. Kids got to ride on her. They could also feed her. Her favorite snack was corn syrup mixed with condensed milk.

Conclusion

I love Winnie the pooh. I have a stuffy of him and like the books too! I learned lots about Winnie the pooh in this research. I did not know it was

Canadian. This research shows we should be proud of the Canadian soldiers that keep us safe It also shows we should love animals and be nice to them. Bears are very cute. We have to keep animals safe, so they don’t all die. The polar bear ice is melting. They are my favorite animal. So, remember to take care of animals so they don’t go extinct.
