Las Vegas defeats Sacramento 6-3 on Mother’s Day: The Sacramento River Cats Aviators defeated the River Cats 6-3 in game four of the All-Time Record vs. River Cats season-opening six-game homestand on Sunday afternoon 144-179 (.446) before a crowd of 4,488 at Las Vegas Ballpark. Home: 74-89 (.454) Las Vegas offense: The Aviators recorded 6 hits and rallied Road: 70-90 (.438) from a 3-1 deficit for the victory. Las Vegas scored four runs in the sixth inning and right fielder Greg Deichmann (1 -for- 2021 Season Series (W 2, L 2) 3) recorded an RBI single to break the 3-3 tie. Las Vegas offense: The Aviators recorded four hits and scored their lone run in the sixth inning on an RBI single by center fielder Skye Bolt (1-fo-r-3, walk). Shortstop Pete Kozma was 1-for-3, two walks and left fielder Luis Barrera was 1-for-4, walk. Sacramento offense: The River Cats recorded 16 hits and scored two runs in the fifth and seventh innings and three runs in the eighth on a three-run homer by shortstop Thairo Estrada (4-for-5, 4 RBI). Las Vegas offense: The Aviators recorded 10 hits and scored solo runs in each of the first three innings and led 3-2. Center fielder Luis Barrera was 3-for-5, stolen base, 2 RBI, run scored. Third baseman Jacob Wilson was 2-for-4, walk, solo homer in the third inning and first baseman Frank Schwindel was 2-for-5. Sacramento offense: The River Cats recorded 7 hits and rallied for four runs in the fourth inning highlighted by a grand slam by shortstop Thairo Estrada (2-for-4, walk, double). Las Vegas offense: The Aviators recorded 12 hits and rallied for four runs in the ninth inning to tie the game at 10-10. Center fielder Buddy Reed (1-for-5, walk) delivered a walk-off RBI single to right field with one out.
