Annual Report 2017-2018 ANNUAL REPORT 2017-2018 PLACE: TAGORE HOUSE, MOHUN BAGAN SAIL FOOTBALL ACADEMY DATE: 10.07.2018 The annual report 2017-2018 is based on the work which the society, Mohun Bagan SAIL Football Academy has done throughout this year for the development of the society as well as the development of youth. The activities are in the following: SPORTS & GAMES TWO DAYS SCHOOL FOOTBALL DEVELOPEMENT PROGRAMME STUDENTS STIPEND VOCATIONAL TRAINING FOR YOUTH FREE DISTRIBUTION OF SPORTS KITS FREE COACHING CAMPS DAY CELEBRATION INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPEMENT SPORTS & GAMES: MBSFA has participated in various competitions throughout the year. Like other seasons, this season too, we have participated in the AIFF U-18Youth League 2017-18 (Kolkata Zone). We played a total of 10 matches and won 6 matches with 21 points. We have also participated and won the OORJA Cup and 6 players got a chance to represent the Eastern Zone. The team participated in the Late Partha Das Memorial Championship (Knockout Tournament) at Chittaranjan and became Champion by defeating East Bengal, Mohammedan SC and United Punjab FC respectively. After this tournament our 2017-18 season was ended TWO DAYS SCHOOL FOOTBALL DEVELOPEMENT PROGRAMME: A part from our regular programme, we celebrate the foundation day in a benefiting manner with the school kids. School Football Tournament was conducted on 18th & 20th July between 8 rural school teams of Class V, VI. The schools were: 1. PRATAPPUR KALIKAPUR TAPOBAN VIDYAPITH 2. BIJRA HIGH SCHOOL 3. S.S.B. MEMORIAL SCHOOL (Kuldiha) 4. GOPALPUR HIGH (+2) SCHOOL 5. RAKSHITPUR HIGH SCHOOL 6. MALANDIGHI DURGADAS VIDYAMANDIR 7. LABNAPARA HIGH SCHOOL 8. AMLAJORAH HIGH SCHOOL (H.S) During these celebrations children attended in colorful dresses, play and get indulged in the recreational activities. Songs, music’s and various cultural events were organized. The day ends with the distribution of sweets, fruits etc. among the participants. 1 | P a g e Mohun Bagan Football Academy (MBSFA) STUDENT STIPEND: A part from our regular programme, student monthly stipend of Rs. 2000 (Two thousands) for U-18 team and Rs. 1000 (One thousand) for U-16 team was given by the Society. VOCATIONAL TRAINING FOR YOUTH The Society has been conducting computer Training course with own fund of the Society and providing training on computers educations and information technology. Computer is the necessity of present time. This is the age of computer and Information Technology. Youth of the society should be computer literate. Keeping the importance of computer education in mind, Mohun Bagan Sail Football Academy has initiated computer education programme for the students of his society. FREE DISTRIBUTION OF SPORTS KITS Mohun Bagan Sail Football Academy undertook the program of distributing sports kits among the rural school like Palashdiya High School, Benachity High School, Gopalpur High School, Amlajora High School, Durgapur TN High School, Malandighi High school, Kuldiah High School, Rakhshitpur High School in the Durgapur Sub Division and local coaching camps throughout the year. Free Distribution of sports kits Society arrange to the peoples including for backward SC, ST, and OBC. FREE COACHING CAMPS Mohun Bagan Sail Football Academy undertook the program of running free coaching camps in the two places of Kanksha Block in the Durgapur Sub-Division and Bankhura is associate with Samaitha Math where the society provided the coaches, kits and diet free to the boys.Mr. Gourav Chatterjee (AFC-B License) was in the charge of these camps. DAY CELEBRATION Apart from our regular programme, we celebrate the following days with great zeal and vigor: Youth day ( Swami Vivekananda’s Birth Day Celebration ) Desh Prem Divas ( Netaji Subhash Chandra Birth Day Celebration ) Republic day Rabindra Jayanti ( Rabindranath Tagore’s Birth Day Celebration ) International Yoga Day. Foundation day of Organization Independence Day. Gandhi Jayanti (Swachh Bharat day celebration). 2 | P a g e Mohun Bagan Football Academy (MBSFA) Youth Day Celebration (Swami Vivekananda’s Birth Day Celebration) National Youth Day is celebrated in our Academy. The 153rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda was celebrated in the premises of the Academy. Players, Coaches and Officials paid their heartfelt tribute to the Napoleon of Hinduism and participated in the National Youth Day organized by Mohun Bagan SAIL Football Academy. On that particular day, Players, Coaches and Officials gather together in the ground in early morning and our officials deliver a short speech and garland Swami Ji’s Portrait. The speech is followed by Yoga Classes under the technical guide of our Physio . After that we start the regular routine. Desh Prem Divas Celebration (Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s Birth Day Celebration) The birthday of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in 2018 was celebrated on 23rd of January at Tuesday. It was celebrated as the 121st birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. It is celebrated every year with the great honor by the people including government and non government organizations. As he was one of the most well known Indian leaders during the independence movement, he has become a great legendary figure in the history of India. Players, Coaches and Officials paid their heartfelt tribute to Netaji and participated in the National Youth Day organized by Mohun Bagan SAIL Football Academy. On that particular day, Players, Coaches and Officials gather together in the ground in early morning and our officials deliver a short speech and garland Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s Portrait. The speech is followed by Sweet distribution between the Players and Officials. After that we start the regular routine. Republic day Celebration Republic Day of India is celebrated annually on 26th of January since 1950. It is celebrated by the Indian people all over India to honor and remember the date on which Indian Constitution came into force. The Constitution of India was adopted on 26th of November in 1949 by the Constituent Assembly. However, it came into effect on 26th of January in 1950. On the same date, the Government of India Act (1935) was replaced as the governing document of India. The Constitution of India came into force with a democratic government system. This date was chosen to adopt the Indian Constitution as Declaration of Indian Independence (means Purna Swaraj) was declared by the Indian National Congress in 1930. Republic Day is a national holiday in India which means a lot to the people of India. So as to commemorate the day, the players, staffs and officials gather in the lobby area of the Academy and hoist our Indian National flag accompanied by the National anthem. Rabindra Jayanti : It is celebrated in early May, on the 25th day of the Bengali month of Boishakh, sinceTagore was born on this day of the year 1268 (1861 AD) of the Bengali calendar. On this day, the players, staffs and the executives gather together in the Academy common room and recollect Tagore’s influence over Bengali literature and his impact on Indian society. Executives take part by reciting Tagore’s poems and songs (Rabindra Sangeet). 3 | P a g e Mohun Bagan Football Academy (MBSFA) International Yoga Day. We celebrated third International Yoga Day by organizing a special yoga session in which the Players, Coaches and Officials along with the Academy Executive Members performed various 'asana'. The main aim was to raise an awareness and ignite a passion for fitness and yoga among the students At present, when the players face stress, tension, fear, etc. , simple asanas can help to dispel these. Players were taught various asana such as Tadasana, Trikonasana, Padahastasana, Kati Chakrasana, Vrikshasana, Shashakasana, Bhujangasana, Ushtrasana, Ardhachakrasana, Bhadrasana, Vajrasana, Wakrasana, Makarasana, Shalabhasana, Setubandhasana, Uttanpadasana, Ardhahalasana, Pawanmuktasana, Swasasana Nadi Shodhan, Kapal Bhati and Bhramari, Anulom Vilom and Shitali Pranayam. Academy Executives delivers a short speech on this particular day regarding Yoga and its impact on the people. It enables us to live a healthy life. The Academy Secretary Mr.Tapan Roy said "Yoga is essential for inner and physical growth. It enhances the mental and physical well-being." He also motivated the players to make Yoga an important part of their daily routine to stay fit and healthy. Foundation day of the Organization Like every year, we celebrated our Foundation day with great zeal and vigor. Two days of rural football development was organized on 18th & 20th of July. Schools of different rural areas having students of Class V and VI were invited to participate in it. A 7-a-side football tournament was organized and thus we promote both rural development and youth development of the society. Guests from different parts of India join us and share their thoughts. Jerseys and Tiffin are distributed among the students of these rural schools each year. A friendly match between the Academy Executives and staffs and the Club executives and staffs is also organized each year. The day ends with a gala lunch being enjoyed by all. Independence Day. The Independence Day is celebrated each year on 15th of August in our Academy. On this particular day, Indian National Flag is hoisted in the Mohun Bagan SAIL Football Academy premises accompanied by the National Anthem. Sweets are being distributed among the Players and staffs. Special lunch is also served on each of the auspicious occasions. 4 | P a g e Mohun Bagan Football Academy (MBSFA) Gandhi Jayanti (Swachh Bharat day celebration). Every year on this particular day, we celebrate Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Cleanliness drives are organized throughout the year. On this particular day, various guests as well as our executives enlighten us about the need of cleanliness in our society. Since cleanliness is next to Godliness, hence we have planned to undertake trainings on cleanliness of the localities, proper sanitation and healthcare in the localities. Further we plan to promote the philosophy behind the massive campaign of “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” by inviting personalities who enlightens and discuss with the local youth during the campaign.
