PRODUCER: Produced in the Department of Cinema, University of Southern California, for the John Tracy Clinic, with a grant-in-aid made possible by the Beltone Hearing Aid Company.

DESCRIPTION OF CONTENTS: The film is a report for testing the hearing of very young children. It explains the use of the audiometer as a means of determining the threshold of hear­ ing for the very young ch:i.ld. It presents a procedure for introducing the child to the instrument, the technique of administering the test, and demonstrates the difference be­ tween the profoundly deaf child and the child with normal hearing.

Some years ago you were initiated as an honorary member of Delta Kappa Alpha, the National Honorary Cinema Fraternity. \ole were both pleased and proud to honor you. This year will be the 25th anniversary of DKA . ole are planning ~ a 25th anniversary banquet on Oec. 9th here on the campus of USC. I fully realize how busy you are with film production. The call on your time will be very slight. We plan to send a letter to ali past honorary members inviting them be be our guest on that evening. We would like that letter to go out with your signature and that of Mr . Free~an. Approval of the l etter coul d be done by mail and phone. A rough draft of the letter is enclosed on the spevial stationery printed for the occassion.

We would appreciate your advice on the pl anning of the program for the evening, s ~ lf!tt? zs choice of M. C. , black tie or informal, and such matters . This could be done by letter or phone or perhaps one very brief meeting, perhaps 20 to 30 minutes. Of course we would like you* and your wife to attend the banquet .rx~Hx as our guest if your schedule permits.
