World War One Centenary Fund

Community organisations across the East Riding have marked the centenary of the end of the First World War with support from a Council fund to help remember those who served in the conflict.

Small grants of up to £ 500 were available to Town and Parish Councils and other organisations holding commemorative events or creating lasting tributes. A large number of applications were received and more than 50 grants were offered, sharing over £ 18,000, to support a range of commemorative projects taking place across the East Riding. A list of those projects awarded Centenary Fund grants is shown below:
