Abstract: The Rare Book pamphlet collection consists of thousands of pamphlets touching upon a huge variety of topics, which generally have some relation to Cincinnati. These have been collected by the Rare Books and Special Collections Department from 1955 – 2006. Sermons delivered in Cincinnati, railroads that stopped here, lectures from presidents born here, exhibit guides of other rare book libraries, civil war paraphernalia, Cincinnati industry, hotel advertisements and menus, medical texts from professors at the University of Cincinnati or Cincinnati in general (Sabin, Langstrom), histories of schools / universities in Cincinnati (yearbooks), Cincinnati’s German past, Papers of the Cincinnati Literary Club, Transylvania University, throw-aways, broadsides, souvenirs. Large collection of Martin Henry Fischer reprints.
