STATESBORO, GA. – Georgia Southern Baseball dropped Saturday's game to Elon, 3-2 in 10 innings. The Eagles rallied with runs in the fifth and sixth innings to tie the game at two, but a and an in the 10th gave Elon the 3-2 win. The same two teams return to the diamond on Sunday at 1 p.m. to close the series.

SCORING PLAYS Top 2nd - Two walks and an in the second helped Elon scratch out a pair of runs off starting Seth Shuman. The fielding error at third base rendered one of the two runs as unearned as Elon took an early 2-0 lead. Bottom 5th - Noah Searcy was by a with one out in the fifth and came around to score when Steven Curry doubled down the first base line. The sophomore twirler struck out a season-high nine batters, topping his total from a week ago against Fairfield. He also matched a career-high with 112 pitches. - Junior reliever Chase Cohen worked three innings, allowing just two hits and a run with four and a walk. He was saddled with the loss to fall to 1-1 on the year.
