Tim Janson has hauled in a team-high 50 catches for 558 yards. Mark Johnson, a pre- Oshkosh 31, Platteville 10 season All-America pick, has 44 catches for 625 yards with four TDs, but did miss last week’s game against La Crosse 63, Stevens Point 27 UW-La Crosse and is not listed on this week’s depth chart. The Pioneers used to be primarily an aerial show, Saturday, Oct. 20 but have begun to feature their running game more over the last several seasons, averaging 160.8 yards on Stout 31, Stevens Point 27 the ground, ranking third in the league. Sean Studer has carried the ball 104 times for 583 yards - second Eau Claire 40, Platteville 16 in the league at 83.0 yards per game. Bo Babich has netted 256 yards on 50 totes. Both Studer and Babich Oshkosh 24, La Crosse 13 have rushed for six TDs. Evan Gates has carried the ball 31 times, but has scored five TDs. Whitewater 40, Stout 10 LAST TIME OUT: UW-Platteville: Platteville was edged late in the fourth quarter and fell 28-35 to the La Crosse 35, Platteville 28 UW-La Crosse Eagles on the road in Roger Harring Stadium. River Falls at La Crosse, 1 p.m. On defense, junior Tyler Reinhardt led the charge with two interceptions on the day against UW-La Crosse’s Oshkosh at Eau Claire, 1 p.m. Ben Schramski who finished 12 of 24 attempts for 212 yards and two interceptions. Junior Travis Hofslien Saturday, Nov. 10 stacked up a team high seven tackles with sophomore Erik Siedenburg right behind with six. La Crosse at Eau Claire, 11:30 a.m. LAST TIME THEY MET: After three weeks off after beating a No. 4 ranked St. Thomas University team, Whitewater at Platteville, 1 p.m. the Blue Devils went on the road to face WIAC opponent, No. 10 ranked, UW-Platteville. UW-Stout had the Stout at Oshkosh, 2 p.m. ball on the Pioneers 18 yard line with six seconds left and couldn’t punch it in into the endzone, as the Blue Stevens Point at River Falls, 2 p.m. Devils fell to UW-Platteville 34-27, Sept. 30, 2017. Platteville scored with seven minutes remaining in the game to down UW-Stout, 34-27, in a battle of nationally ranked teams. The Pioneers Mark Johnson hauled in a 37-yard pass at the 7:18 mark for the deciding score. The Pioneers outscored UW-Stout 17-3 in the second half. The Blue Devils ended with 396 yards of total offense compared to UW-Platteville’s 306 yards.
