GETTING TO THE GAMES

AWAY GUIDE 2015 Getting to see the boys in blue on the road in the Guinness Pro12 doesn’t have to be expensive. There isn’t the usual demand of European away fxtures meaning fights and if you want to stay over, accommodation won’t normally increase in price. The OLSC has put together this guide for getting to the game.

Glasgow (Scotstoun ) • Fly direct to Glasgow International with Aer Lingus or Ryanair • Get to the city centre using the First 500 bus from outside arrivals • Stay at the Hilton Glasgow City Centre Edinburgh (Murrayfield) • Fly direct to Edinburgh with Aer Lingus / Ryanair • Get to the city centre using the new tram • Stay at the IBIS Hotel on the Royal MIle Cardiff () • Fly direct to Cardif with Aer Lingus Regional or Flybe • Get to the city centre using the T9 bus from outside arrivals • Stay at the Maldron Hotel in Cardif city centre • Alternatively fy to Bristol with Aer Lingus Regional or Ryanair • Get to Cardif using the Greyhound Bus service, rental car or train (Bristol Temple Meads) Llanelli (Parc y ), (), Newport () • Fly to Cardif with Aer Lingus Regional or Flybe • Take a train from Cardif Central or use a rental car • Fly to Bristol with Aer Lingus Regional or Ryanair • Use the Greyhound Bus service, train or rental car (Newport 56kms, Swansea 82kms and Llanelli 101kms) • Supporters often stay at the Maldron Hotel in Cardif city centre Treviso (Stadio Comunale di Monigo) • Fly to Venice Treviso with Ryanair or Venice with Aer Lingus • From Venice take the train for €2.50 each way, a fxed fare taxi from Treviso airport to the centre is €15 • Stay at the Hotel Continential (Stadio ) • Located in , there are no direct scheduled fights from Ireland however Ryanair fy from London Stansted. From Ireland you could fy Ryanair to Bologna and connect by train or rental car (118 kms) • Stay at the Astoria Residence Hotel or Starhotels du Parca Charter Options Joe Walsh Tours operate charter packages to all of our away games, these include fights with the team, overnight hotel, match ticket and in most cases transfers.

Inter provincial fixtures The OLSC operates a same day bus service for our games in Limerick, Belfast and Galway. Priced at €20pp return these run from the city centre and leave after the game. Please email [email protected] for more information.

Match Tickets With the exception of our interprovincial fxtures, it is unlikely any of our Pro12 away games will sell out. Watch out for the OLSC’s ticket recommendation approximately a fortnight before each fxture. This will be the areas where those travelling with JWT (below) are, we’d recommend buying here so that you are with the rest of the blue army.

Flags The fags from the RDS and are cleared as hand luggage by the Dublin Airport Authority. As a volunteer organization the OLSC attempts to have a small number of fags at every away game but please bring what you have from home.
