  • Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol
CHASING CARS BY SNOW PATROL What is the meaning of this song, and its lyrics for me? Well, I think that there is something special in the way that word's from a song can inspire me. It may not be the reason the song lyrics were intended to be interpreted, but they hold special meaning to me. You know that way, when you hear the music and you stop, the memories still vivid in your mind, whether they are happy or sad, the use of words or melody carrying you away to that special place. In the case of Chasing cars, I could say that the first time that I heard Chasing cars was in the school, at that time I didn't know which was the translation of the song because I wasn't interest in English. However, when I heard it, I felt many things at the same time; one of those things was inspired by the tone of voice of the Snow patrol’s vocalist Gary Lightbody. "Chasing Cars" is the second single from Snow Patrol's When I heard this song in the voice of Gary, I recognized a fourth album, Eyes Open. It story behind, maybe a love story or even an advice given to was recorded in 2005 and him by someone or perhaps a special moment for him to released on 6 June 2006 in the US and 24 July 2006 in remember. But how a singer can transmit so different the UK as the album's second meanings just in simple lyrics of a song? ingle Sincerely, I don't know, but songs like Chasing cars with rhythms of Alternative rock, folk rock, power pop and a little bit of Britpop were so popular during the end of 90's and early 2000 due to its sound, its social context, and its regional roots were innovative for its time; Many of those popular songs in 2000 had similar characteristics with Snow Patrol’ Song, some of them are ''Dani California'' by Red Hot Chilli Papers, ''Lips of an angel'' by Hinder and some other bands like Nickelback, Breaking Benjamin and Goo Goo Dolls.

Season come and go but I will never change. And I am on my way. This song is awe some and famous and hit. I like this meaning. Tinie tempah voice is good. Eric turner sound is beautiful. My favourite singer is eric turner and tinie. Just awesome. Listening 50 times a day. I like this singer. And Obviously Erik Turner. Both of their chemistry. Was excellent. I loved this song very much. Please. Request to. Compose this type of song. I think this song probably has the most meaning and makes the most sense. Maybe people don't know that this is the original so that's why they voted for the other. So now you know, vote for this one. Why is the remix version of this song in the number one spot I rekon that this is a lot better than the remix version but I think Pass Out should be number one because that is an epic song.

  • Lily Allen Hits Back at 'Hard out Here' Racism Claims
News New Music Culture Features Lists The Archives SEARCH Share < br />this article: Email Share Tweet Reddit News \ Lily Allen Hits Back at ‘Hard Out Here’ Racism Claims "The video is meant to be a lighthearted satirical video that deals with objectification of women" Marc Hogan // November 13, 2013 Share < br />this article: Email Share Tweet Reddit In August 2012, Lily Allen tweeted a comment that led to a flurry of responses calling her racist. Here’s what she wrote: “I hate it when black cab drivers spend the entire journey on the phone. I WANTED A CHAT !” Later, she added, “When I said ‘black cab drivers’ I was referring to the colour of the cabs rather than the drivers themselves,OBVIOUSLY. *rolls eyes*” See, a “black cab” is a thing people in Britain and Europe call their taxis. Point is, the Internet is quick to call famous people and other trending topics racist, sometimes on remarkably shaky ground. Allen has now come under fire for alleged racism again in her brand-new “Hard Out Here” video, and she again took to Twitter to address the criticisms — which, while less blatantly false than last time, are still tenuous at best. In an extended tweet titled “Privilege, Superiority, and Misconceptions,” Allen said she requested no specific ethnicities for the clip. “The video is meant to be a lighthearted satirical video that deals with objectification of women within modern pop culture,” she wrote. “It has nothing to do with race, at all.” She explained that despite two weeks of rehearsing her own twerk, she was unable to master the move, and added that the reason she was wearing more clothes than her dancers was her own insecurity.

“…vaulting cathedrals of sound, framed by luminous piano, shimmering synthesizer orchestrations, and, above all, the seemingly infinite layers of vocal harmonies...” Enya The Discography With her blend of folk melodies, synthesized backdrops, and classical motifs, Enya created a distinctive style that more closely resembled new age than the folk and Celtic music that provided her initial influences. Enya, birth name Eithne Ní Bhraonáin, was born in Gweedore, County Donegal, in Ireland in 1961 to a musical family, the fourth youngest of nine children. Several of her siblings formed the band An Clann As Dobhair in 1968, renamed as Clannad in the 1970s: Eithne joined the group in 1980, playing keyboards and providing backing vocals on a couple of their albums. In 1982, shortly before Clannad became famous for "Theme From Harry’s Game", producer and manager Nicky Ryan left the group and Eithne joined him to start her own solo career. As a musical group, Enya is collaboration between three people: Enya herself, who composes and performs the music; Nicky Ryan, who produces the albums, and Roma Ryan, who writes the lyrics in various languages. Biography Mark Ronson is an internationally renowned DJ and five-time-Grammy-Award-winning and Golden Globe-winning artist and producer. Ronson spent the first eight years of his life growing up in London, England. Having played guitar and drums from an early age, it wasn't until moving to New York City following his parents’ divorce, that he discovered DJ culture. At age 16, and already a fan of artists like A Tribe Called Quest, Run DMC and the Beastie Boys, Ronson began listening to mixtapes released by various hip hop DJs. Inspired, Ronson confiscated his step-father's vinyl collection and tried his hand at mixing. It was the first step in a career highlighted by work on a multi Grammy-winning album by Amy Winehouse, as well as his own Grammy-winning, global smash hit with Bruno Mars, "Uptown Funk." In the late 1990s into the early 2000s, the New York club scene was percolating with booming hip-hop and glitzy R&B. Ronson quickly earned himself a reputation through stints on the decks in downtown clubs before becoming the DJ of choice for many noteworthy parties. Hip-hop mogul Sean "P. Diddy" Combs hired Ronson to DJ his fabled 29th birthday bash. These and other high-profile gigs boosted Ronson's profile and connected him with other artists, many of whom were interested in collaborating. His first production gig came from British soul singer Nikka Costa and he found that his experience of working a club crowd informed his production skills. Fusing his eclectic turntable skills with his knowledge of musical instruments and songwriting, Ronson soon embarked on his first solo record.

Galenson University of Chicago SOCIAL SCIENCE WORKING PAPER 417 February 1982 SUMMARY For historians or other social scientists who se data is available in discrete (nominal- or ordina l-level) form, recently developed "log-linear" mu ltivariate statistical techniques offer considerable advantages over commonsensical devices and are in many respects superior to such multivariate methods as mu ltiple classification analysis, weighted least-squares, and logit.
