Mary Seidner honored By Marcia Reinhard, special to the Leader On Monday, January 25, Mary Seidner, an Old Lyme resident and Youth Coordinator in that town, was honored with the Best Citizen Award. Mary did not know anything about the award. She was asked to attend the town meeting so she could vote on a particular topic. The last item on the agenda was naming the recipient of the Best Citizen Award. When Mary’s name was an- nounced, she was totally taken by surprise. At the end of the meeting and ceremony, Mary was greeted by her daughter Liby Seidner and quite a few people from her synagogue, Temple Emanu-El including Rabbi Aaron Rosenberg, Scott Wolfe, Marcia Reinhard, and Myra Gipstein to name a few.
