Our Mission as God’s people is to daily seek to respond in word and action to : “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

Gracious God, today we read where Christ instituted the Lord’s Supper and then went out to pray. In these verses we see the mystery and depth of Your love for us. How hard it is for us to realize we need Your grace; in fact, we are lost without it. Instill in us a renewed awe for Your holy and powerful work in redeeming us from our own rebellions. We pray in Jesus’ name. .

WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

PRELUDE “On Jordan’s Stormy Banks” Promised Land/Arr. Purifoy Karen Dahlen, Piano

CALL TO WORSHIP God calls us from his word to give him praise. Psalm 27:1, 13-14 NRSV “The LORD is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? I believe that I shall see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD! Let us worship God!”

UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION We acknowledge our common need for God’s grace. Merciful God, you have shown us incredible grace in Jesus Christ. He knows our frame. He endured trials and temptations beyond what we can imagine. While we were yet sinners, you sent Christ to die for us in order that we would be reconciled to you. You have called us to be like you; instead, we confess we prefer and have chosen brokenness. You have given yourself for us fully and we are sparing and hesitant to give back to you or to others. Have mercy on us and forgive our sin against you. Help us to turn from our self-righteous and destructive ways.

TIME OF PERSONAL SILENT CONFESSION ASSURANCE OF PARDON We hear from God’s word that we are saved by God’s grace. “Above All” Above all powers, above all kings, above all nature and all created things; Above all wisdom and all the ways of man, You were here before the world began. Above all kingdoms, above all thrones, above all wonders the world has ever known; Above all wealth and treasures of the earth, there's no way to measure what You're worth. Crucified, laid behind the stone; You lived to die, rejected and alone; Like a rose, trampled on the ground, You took the fall, and thought of me, above all.

MISSION MESSAGE

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE AND LORD’S PRAYER Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

*BENEDICTION

*BENEDICTION RESPONSE We go out in song to proclaim God’s good news in Jesus Christ “How Great Thou Art” #4, verse 3 And when I think that God, His Son not sparing, sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in. That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing, He bled and died to take away my sin. Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee; how great Thou art, how great Thou art! Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee: How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
