Below Is a Complete Listing of the 2020 State Winners. Below is a complete listing of the 2020 state winners. "Localized” state judgings have now been successfully held in all 15 regions! The complete list has been shared with the colleges and schools of art who sponsor the exhibition and offer scholarships. Most of the sponsor schools have extend scholarship deadlines. If you are a state winner, and a senior planning to attend one of the sponsoring schools, you may want to contact them regarding scholarship opportunities. If your name, title, or school listed below is misspelled or incorrect, you can let us know by calling 614-272-1678. It will not get corrected here (on the website) but it will get corrected in our database (for certificates and catalog). There will not be an awards ceremony, or an exhibition of the artwork, for the 2020 winners. As of early May most of the artwork has been returned to schools via the regional directors. Winners will eventually receive an award letter, a state certificate and an exhibition catalog. Top 25 winners will also receive their Awards of Excellence. These materials will be mailed and/or shipped to students (hopefully in June) at the home address that was provided on their entry forms. Congratulations on your success! We hope this may be a bright spot, during this difficult time. • Dear Student
Dear Student, Course Selection is one of the most important decisions you will make while in high school. Careful course selection will guide you into a college or work training program, and ultimately the career of your choice. This handbook has been designed to help you make the best possible choices for class selections. First, each of your teachers will recommend the next appropriate step in his or her department’s course sequence and required coursework will be entered into the computer for you. Therefore, as a student, you can focus more specifically on selecting those elective courses that most interest you. After both you and your teachers have had the opportunity to recommend course requests for next year, your parents will also be included and asked to verify that they agree with the course selections assigned. Finally, as we complete this school year, your teachers and parents will both be given several opportunities to consult with you and make sure that the courses you’ve selected best fit your academic needs and interests. You should complete the course planner located at the back of this booklet to guide you through the course selection process. You will soon have an individual scheduling appointment with a guidance counselor or administrator. If you have any questions, please ask. We are happy to help.
