That’s also the most times since the 1996-97 Bulls hit 50% or better in 30 games. The franchise record is 50 games established during the 1991-92 season. In 65 games last year, Chicago shot 50% or better only 13 times. The Bulls scored 115+ points 31 times this season. That’s the most since the 1982-83 squad recorded 34. Last year Chicago scored 115+ points 16 times over a 65-game season. The Bulls dished 30+-assists 19 times this season, tying for 5th in the NBA. Franchise wise, it’s the highest total since the 1996-97 team recorded 22 games of 30+ assists. Last year the Bulls reached 30+ assists twice during a 65-game season. The Bulls established a franchise single-game record by hitting 25 3-pointers (25-47 – 53.2%), vs. New Orleans (02/10). In total, the team hit 20+ treys four times this season, the most in franchise history. Only once last year did the Bulls knock down 20+ 3-pointers. Despite playing 10 less games than a normal NBA season, the Bulls’ 904 3-point field goals this year ranks second in franchise history behind the 2017-18 team that totaled 906 in a full 82-game season. On the year, Chicago finished 16th in the NBA in 3-pointers. By defeating Charlotte 120-99 (05/06), Boston 121-99 (05/07) and Detroit 108-94 (05/09), the Bulls, for the first time since Dec. 19-23, 2018, held three straight opponents to under 100 points. It was also the first time since March 23-28, 2015 that Chicago beat three straight opponents by 10+ points. The Bulls snapped two long, rival losing streaks this season, defeating Toronto (03/14) 118-95 to win for the first time in 12 attempts. Chicago went on to sweep the season series from the Raptors. Then on the final day of the 2020-21 season (05/16), the Bulls defeated the Milwaukee Bucks, 118-112, shattering another lengthy 12-game draught against a longtime rival. The Bulls’ 115-107 victory over the Indiana Pacers (04/06) at Bankers Life Fieldhouse marked the first time Chicago won back-to-back games in that building since its Grand Opening (1999). Their last set of back-to-back victories in Indianapolis happened during the 1996-97 season at Market Square Arena. The Bulls also outrebounded the Pacers 57-33 (04/06) that night. The +24 margin is Chicago’s largest since posting +29 against Atlanta on February 11, 2014. The Bulls shot 21-of-30 (70%) from the free throw line vs. Brooklyn (04/04), while the Nets attempted only seven foul shots. The last time Chicago shot more than 20+ free throws than an opponent was at Memphis (01/15/17) when the Bulls “out charity-tossed” the Grizzlies, 35-13. Nikola Vučević (24/10), Lauri Markkanen (16/10) and Thaddeus Young (19/10) each posted a double-double vs. Phoenix (03/31). It was the first time three Bulls accomplished this act in the same game since a 4OT contest vs. Atlanta (03/01/19). The Bulls posted seven 40-point quarters this season, the team’s most since 1990-91 when Chicago recorded 40+-point frames 13 times.
