ART SHOW JURORS Elizabeth K. Mauro Since 1991, I have completed over 1,000 installations for institutions, galleries, and private collectors. I have received professional training in principles of exhibition design, art handling and installation from nine different museums. In addition to installing artwork for private collectors in their homes, I work for several museums within the Puget Sound on a regular basis. My frequent clients include the Bellevue Arts Museum, the Frye Art Museum, and the Museum of Glass. After growing up on a flower farm in Southern California, I received a BFA degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz. I continued my way up the pacific coast and was drawn to Seattle because of its incredible natural beauty. In addition to managing my art installation business, I continue to work in my own art studio making figurative sculptures out of fabric and clay as well as one-of-a-kind art books. Monica Miller Monica Miller has worked with arts organizations for over 20 years in fundraising, grants management and professional development for artists. Monica’s primary responsibility is to ensure that Gallery One is relevant to the community it serves. One of her favorite parts of her role is as the co-curator with Renee Adams. Together, they strive to create a dynamic exhibition schedule that represents different voices, skill levels, and that ultimately creates community connections. Before moving to Ellensburg from Seattle, she oversaw artist grants and professional development at Artist Trust and was a member of SOIL, an artist collective. She also had a brief stint as the Fremont Solstice Parade Director. Monica considers her major accomplishment the advocacy of percent for art program with the Ellensburg Arts Commission, but is a daily advocate for artists. She holds a BA from the College of William and Mary and an MA from Johns Hopkins University in Museum Studies. She once set out to be a professional potter but continues to dabble in clay at Gallery One's ceramics studio.
