3/5/2014- The Promotion Assistant provided a station tour to a dozen Boy Scouts. The tour included all departments, careers in broadcasting, a question and answer session and the watching of the 5 PM news in studio.

3/31/2014 The Business Manager gave a tour to a group of students from Amherst High School. The students are a part of the morning announcement crew and Paul Hare is the teacher. Paul also works for the NFTA and fills in from time to time for traffic reports. 4/1/2014 A group of Cub Scouts toured the Control rooms and Studio. The Promotion Assistant provided the station tour and discussed careers in broadcasting.

5/28/2014- A group from the North Collons Theatre and Media Club toured the studio and watched the mid day News in the studio.The Promotion Assistant provided the station tour.

5/29/14- A group of 30 students from Salmanca High School toured the station and watched the mid day news in the studio. The Business Manager provided the station tour.

5/29/14- The Promotion Assisstant proved a tour for 25 kindergartens from Elmwood Franklin at 9:30 - this is the same class that created their version of the Today Show during the Olympics. 11/18/2014- The Promotion Assistant- Gave a station tour tour to a group of students from Canisius College and discuss jobs in production.

1/13/2015- The Promotion Assistant- Gave a station tour to a group of girl scouts from Ken-Ton. The girls toured the station and watched the 5PM News in the studio.

Interns earn academic credit and internships last for one semester. During the reporting period January 21, 2014 to January 20, 2015 we had five interns from: SUNY Buffalo State, Canisius College, SUNY Ostwego, and St. Bonaventure. 4 2/1/2014 Participation in As a part of our commitment to grow 1 Gannett Foundation 1.00 scholarship programs the next generation of broadcasters and to a diverse workforce, in 2014 we supported the Emma L. Bowen Foundation with a grant from the Gannett Foundation Media Fund in 2014. This grant is for the Emma Bowen Foundation for Minority Interests in Media for general support of media diversity initiatives including on-the-job training, mentoring, scholarships and work/study programs.

The Emma L.
