CHARGE DROP SEASON OPENER ON THE ROAD: The Canton Charge, powered by the NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers, fell on the road to the , 134-111, to begin the 2016-17 NBA Development League season. Canton’s Quinn Cook led all scorers with 27 points on 9-of-16 shooting and seven rebounds in 37 minutes. Justin Johnson supplied 20 points and five boards in 35 minutes from the Charge’s other starting backcourt spot. In his first game back since dislocating his wrist at Grand Rapids last December, Kevin Olekaibe added 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting and 4-of-7 from three-point range in 23 minutes off the bench.

CLEVELAND CAVALIERS OFF THE COURT NOTES

ROCKIN’ THE Q: The Cavs sold out all 41 regular season home games in 2015-16, the third time in franchise history the team has accomplished that feat (2009-10 and 2014-15). To date, including regular season (386) and playoffs (55), there have been 441 sellouts at The Q and 107 consecutive sellouts (regular season and playoff games only, dating back to 10/30/14).

 PASSING 102 IN A ROW: The Cavs’ previous mark of 102 consecutive sellouts occurred from Dec. 12, 2008 to January 21, 2011 (seven 2009 playoff games and six in 2010).

 12 STRAIGHT HOME OPENER SELLOUTS: The Cavs opened the 2016-17 season at Quicken Loans Arena on Oct. 25, 2016 against New York, which was their 12th straight home opener sellout.

THE CAVALIERS ON RADIO: Cleveland Cavaliers fans will be able to follow the club all season long on the 28-station, Cavaliers Radio Network. All 82 regular season games, as well as the seven preseason games and all playoff games will be aired The Cavaliers on WTAM live. Fans can also listen online by logging onto NBA.com and signing up for the free NBA League Pass Audio, or on their smartphone by downloading the Cavs App. The flagship stations for Cavaliers basketball are 50,000-watt News Radio WTAM Monday 11/14 John Michael, Radio PBP Broadcaster 1100, and FM 100.7 WMMS, Cleveland’s Rock Station.
