PRESS RELEASE

For the 3rd consecutive year, the Espoir Foundation joins forces with nine other corporate foundations alongside Télévisions to support and honor women.

Paris, France - February 26, 2018. The Sanofi Espoir Foundation and nine other corporate foundations are joining up to create a third season of short ELLES ont toutes une histoire programs («THESE WOMEN all have a story»), now a program brand for France Télévisions and a wonderful opportunity to communicate to as many as possible about the engagement of these foundations on behalf of women and the achievements of their association partners.

From March 5 to 15, 2018, eleven 90-second programs will be broadcast on France Télévision’s channels and platforms as well as on Franceinfo and TV5 Monde.

As with the first two seasons, the third series is produced by Élodie Polo Ackermann, IMAGISSIME (a Lagardère Studios company), with the support of the corporate foundations of Air France, CHANEL, ELLE, ADP Group, Kering, Orange, Raja-Danièle Marcovici, RATP, Sanofi Espoir and .

After Nils Tavernier’s first season, built around the struggle for women’s rights in the world, and Olivier Lemaire’s second series on sexism in the professional world in France, Samuel Le Bihan will be directing this third series. A former member of the Comédie française national theater company, a film and television actor, and a film director, he is a man of many commitments, firmly focused on other people and open to the world.

This third season will be about the future. Through the spontaneous, unfiltered eyes of 11 very young women (aged 9 to 18), the series will give perspective to their understanding of their challenges as people on the brink of adulthood, and the new dimensions of life as women they believe they will still need to master.

They will discuss issues of equality between boys and girls, access to sexual and reproductive health, respect and brother-and- sisterhood, their freedom to express or assert their difference, to transmit, learn, and love freely and with consent, and to work, have children and protect the planet.

Samuel Le Bihan travelled all over France to meet these girls on sports fields, in colleges and associations, in both town and country, filming the reality experienced by these adolescents as closely and truthfully as possible.

The 11 portraits of this third series will also reflect through these girls’ words the tremendous work being done by associations and foundations throughout the country.

Xavier Darcos, President of the Sanofi Espoir Foundation «These eleven young women provide a voice for a whole generation. What they have to say radiates energy and optimism, and a determination to change the status of women in France and worldwide. They demonstrate impressive strength and maturity, while remaining warm and humorous about their lives. They embody the des- tiny of our community, as their commitment will upset habits and remove shackles in an effort to create a more equitable world. The Sanofi Espoir Foundation is proud to take part, as it has each year, in this tremendous story.»
