BY: Rob Haneisen Journalist New England Snowstorm of January 25th and 26th Who was the jackpot in Massachusetts this time? Milford had the most snow with 16.7 inches, according to the National Weather Service snowfall report. New York continues to have a brutal winter. The Big Apple was walloped with 19 inches. Philly had 17 inches. Parts of Northern Connecticut had 16-19 inches. Here’s how severe this winter has been: Before yesterday’s storm, Hartford CT had already recorded its snowiest January on record and those records go back over 100 years. Hartford is closing in on 60 inches of snow and the old record for January was 43 inches. While there were some power outages and minor accidents, the worst of the storm damage was a roof collapse in Lynn. Eighteen people had minor injuries. Wednesday's Jan 26th storm arrived early, and by midnight 2.9 inches had fallen at Bradley International Airport, making this the snowiest month on record in Connecticut at 47.8 inches. The previous record of 45.3 inches was set in 1945. Hartford ended up with 11 inches.
