The 37th edition of the Log contains 300 pages of data and cross references and 12 pages of instructions in 8‐1/2” x 11” size, 3‐hole punched, U.S. looseleaf format. This publication fits nicely into a 1” three‐ring binder. 9,000+ updates since last year’s 36th Edition of the log! New for this year is a cross reference by State/Province in frequency order. This list is ideal for targeting needed areas. Additional reference lists include call letters of FM simulcasts with the AM Stations listing, listings of regional groups of stations in the groups section (separate section of the log book), a cross reference of those stations that are licensed to use IBOC (In Band On Channel) digital audio, and a comprehensive list of FM translators that are now simulcasting with AM broadcasters. Amendments to pending applications for CP: 1310 WRSB NY Canandaigua – Had applies for U4 2500/2200 from a new site; amends the application to U4 2500/1300 from that same new site. 1480 KRXR ID Gooding – Had applied for U1 10000/100 on 1470 kHz, CoL to Kuna ID and a new site; amends the application to stay on 1480 kHz, to stay in Gooding ID, with U1 5000/80 – but from a (different) new site, a KDIL‐940 tower at 42‐43‐ 39/114‐37‐36. 1590 WOKR NY Brockport – Had applied for U4 2500/1100 on 1600 kHz, remaining at its current site; amends the application to U4 2500/700, again on 1600 kHz, but now moving CoL to Brighton NY and diplexing with WHIC‐1460 at 43‐04‐59/77‐38‐52. 3 SPECIAL TEMPORARY AUTHORITY (STA) STAs granted: 580 WIBW KS Topeka – Granted STA for night pattern at variance. 610 WXVA VA Winchester – Granted STA for U1 380/125 from licensed day site; has lost night site and operates daytime only in summer but needs STA for winter. 960 KOVO UT Provo – Granted STA to operate with U1 5000/14 (as in CP) from one existing tower, pending completion of CP for a new tower. 1440 KPUR TX Amarillo – Granted STA with parameters at variance; antenna monitor system is malfunctioning. 1450 KHIT NV Reno – Granted STA with reduced power (using U1 550/550), problems with transmission system. 1470 WTZE VA Tazewell – Granted STA with reduced power (using D1 1000), transmitter problems. 1540 WJZI IN Decatur – Granted STA with emergency wire antenna, D1 62.5 at 40‐49‐14/84‐ 55‐12; silent station needs to broadcast before Oct. 10 to maintain license. Applications for STAs received: 970 KTTO WA Spokane – Applies for STA to operate with CP facilities of U2 5300/750; could apply for license to cover now but wants to wait as it may add a diplexed station at the transmitter site. Extensions to existing STAs granted: 567 KGUM GU Agaña – Granted extension of STA, U1 5000/5000 from temporary antenna. 980 WAAV NC Leland – Granted extension of STA, reduced power (using U2 4000/4000).
