2019-20 wright state men’s basketball • 7 • RAIDERS INK THREE Head coach Scott Nagy announced the signing of three players on November 14 to national letters-of-intent to attend and join the Raider program beginning next fall.

“This group of young men is a great start to our 2020 signing class,” Coach Nagy said. “We know they will meet the future needs of our program. Their basketball abilities can be well documented but what’s even more important to us is their personal character and their abilities in the classroom. They fit in every way to what’s important to us and our university.”

Alex Huibregste, a 6’3” guard, was a first-team all-league selection in the North Shore Conference as a junior at Grafton. He averaged 21.0 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.6 assists for the Blackhawks in 2018-19.

Brandon Noel, a 6’7” forward, helped lead Chillicothe to its second consecutive Frontier Athletic Conference championship this past season as a junior. He also earned second team Division I All-District honors, first team All-District honors on the D-I and D-II District 14 Coaches Association team, and All-Ohio honor- able mention in D-I after averaging 16 points per game and over eight rebounds per game.

Andrew Welage, a 6’7” forward, averaged 16.7 points, 6.5 re- bounds, 4.6 assists and 1.5 steals per game and reached the 1,000-point milestone last season as a junior at Greensburg while leading the Pirates to a 24-2 record. Welage shot 62 percent from the field overall and 52 percent from the 3-point line as a junior.

COACHES SHOWS SET FOR GIORDANO’S IN 2019-2020 Giordano’s will host the Wright State Basketball Coaches Shows on various Monday nights from 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. throughout the season. Twelve Mondays will feature women’s coach Katrina Merriweather from 5:30-6 p.m. and men’s coach Scott Nagy from 6-7 p.m.

The shows will welcome fans in person and will also air on WONE 980 AM. Chris Collins, entering his 23rd season as the Voice of the Raiders, will host along with his radio partner, former Wright State coach Jim Brown. The Horizon League Council has selected Indianapolis to host the 2020-22 Horizon League Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships.

Eight teams – four men and four women – will look to advance to Indianapolis and #ReachTheHorizon March 9-10 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum located at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center. The Indiana Farmers Coliseum will play host to the semifinal and championship games, while first round and quarterfinal contests will be played at campus sites on March 3 and 5.

Every game of the tournament will be carried on ESPN networks.
