IST Meteorological Analysis (Based on 0830 Hrs IST Observations) Weather Watch:-Heavy rainfall occured at isolated places over Vidarbha. Thunderstorm accompanied with squall observed at isolated places over Vidarbha. Thunderstorm observed at many places over Vidarbha and at isolated places over Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. Monsoon Watch :- The southwest monsoon has further advanced into remaining parts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh, west central & northwest Bay of Bengal, some parts of south Chhattisgarh and some more parts of Odisha. The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) passes through Lat. 20.5°N / Long. 60.0°E, Lat. 20.5°N / Long. 70.0°E, Valsad, Nasik, Parbhani, Adilabad, Jagdalpur, Bhawanipatna, Chandbali , Digha, Kolkata, Krishnanagar, Darjeeling and Lat. 27.4°N / Long. 87.7°E. Conditions are likely to become favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some more parts of Gujarat region, Madhya Maharashtra, remaining parts of Marathawada, some parts of Vidarbha, some more parts of Chhattisgarh, Odisha, remaining parts of West Bengal and some parts of Jharkhand and Bihar after 3¬4 days Inference:- The upper air cyclonic circulation over south Chhattisgarh & neighbourhood, now lies over south coastal Odisha & neighbourhood between 3.1 and 5.8 km above mean sea level. The trough runs from this cyclonic circulation to south Konkan between 3.1 and 4.5 km above mean sea level. The drought has persisted for four consecutive years and has affected drinking water security and crop production and productivity severely all over the Maharashtra state. Maharashtra government has launched a new program named Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyan to make Maharashtra a drought-free state by 2019. The JSA proposes a framework for village level water balance calculation which includes estimation of crop-water requirements, drinking water stress etc. JSA promotes an integration and coordination between various government agencies and program during planning and implementation levels and stresses on people's participation as one of the key objectives. The program aims to make 5000 villages free of water scarcity every year. This transformation has been possible with concentrated efforts towards developing watersheds, improving ground water levels, de-silting and decentralizing water sources and increasing the area under irrigation. In this study we have select the Aurangabad district. The main aim of the study is to determine the quality of CNB’s located in Aurangabad district.
