From its inception in 2015, Newcastle Division has been working with Engineering Studies teachers to develop a program which will assist in delivering the curriculum to senior high school students.

In weeks 3 and 7 of each term, a seminar/workshop is held. Each aligns to a module in the current year 11 and 12 syllabus, providing current industry information as well as practical application of aspects of engineering. Teachers take away with them the presentation slides/handouts from each session which can then be used to deliver the module in class.

These sessions provide teachers with PD opportunities, tangible resources and are a valuable link between our Engineering Studies teachers, industry and the engineering profession. This Engineers Australia program has been accredited by NESA.

Teachers are able to attend the free sessions either in person or from any other location via a live webinar broadcast. All registered participants receive access to the recorded version on the webinar after the event, which can then be viewed at any time.
