Midway through the season, following thrilling victories over nationally ranked opponents, students began poking good natured fun at Head Coach Steve Lavin’s California roots by dubbing their cheering section ”Lavinwood.” president’s message Dear Friends, As you are all aware, St. John’s University is primarily an academic institution.
