Kings Island Field Trip Information July, 2014 Kings Island Field Trip Information 1) All parents are asked to sign their camper(s) up for one of the groups listed below at your camp site. Parents are required to do this (campers can’t pick by themselves or change groups without a parent’s permission). 2) Campers will be grouped into the following categories, please read and choose the one most appropriate for your camper: a) X-Large—campers must be 54” or taller and will have access to all of the rides at Kings Island. Campers should be comfortable with all roller coasters including the ones that go upside down. b) Large— campers must be 48” or taller and will have access to: Flight Deck, The Beast, The Racers, Vortex, Adventure Express, Backlot Stunt Coaster, Congo Falls, White Water Canyon, Viking Fury, Boo Blasters on Boo Hill. Campers should be comfortable with most roller coasters including the ones that go upside down. c) Medium Big— campers must be 48” or taller and will have access to: Flight Deck, The Beast, The Racers, Adventure Express, Backlot Stunt Coaster, Congo Falls, White Water Canyon, Viking Fury, Boo Blasters on Boo Hill, Dodgem. Campers should be comfortable with most roller coasters, but will NOT go upside down. d) Medium—campers must be 46” or taller and will have access to: Woodstock Express, Flying Ace Aerial Chase, Boo Blaster on Boo Hill, Congo Falls, Race for Your Life Charlie Brown, K.I. and Miami Valley Railroad, White Water Canyon, Kite Eating Tree. e) Small—campers will be exploring Planet Snoopy! This group is appropriate for any age/height that does not enjoy fast or scary rides. 3) Please arrive at camp at 7 a.m. so we can spend as much time as possible at King’s Island. We will try and be back by 6 p.m. and have been able to do this the past couple of years. If we run into heavy traffic, we may be back later then 6 p.m. Parents need to be at the school and ready to pick-up at 6 p.m. 4) We will be using Dublin’s Weather Hotline and our camp Facebook pages to provide updates for parents throughout the day. You can call the Weather Hotline number or check the camp Facebook pages for information regarding: our arrival, the weather, our departure & anticipated return time. The Weather Hotline number is: 614-410-4946 and if you have not yet joined the camp Facebook page, contact Jennifer Vosters at 410-4573 or [email protected] by Monday, July 7 at 4 p.m. if you would like access to the camp Facebook pages on our field trip day. 5) Campers are permitted to bring money on this trip for extra food/drinks and in gift shops only. Campers are 100% responsible for their own money. The City of Dublin and its staff are not responsible for the belongings (including money) of any of the campers. Extra money is OPTIONAL and not required. All campers will receive lunch and Kings Island provides free water to park guests. 6) We take mandatory restroom breaks before boarding the bus on the way to and from Kings Island. Please talk with your camper about the importance of trying to use the restroom before boarding the bus. If your camper is prone to accidents please consider sending spare underwear. Our staff can discreetly store extra underwear in case of an emergency. 7) Parents are always welcome on field trips. If you would like more information about attending this field trip, please contact your site supervisor for chaperone guidelines and information about what to expect during the trip.
