The time has come again; under the motto "Sea and Music", another cruise will take place in September 2020, enabling passengers from all over the world to meet the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in a unique way. For years now, this trip has delighted an audience that appreciates the once in a lifetime synthesis of nature and culture and the special atmosphere on board. Due to the strong response of music lovers from all over the world, it is always a great pleasure for our orchestra to embark on this journey together and to present an exquisite programme on board and in major concert halls ashore. You can expect numerous surprises which will inspire you as a music lover. This also includes rehearsal visits and performances by individual ensembles of our musicians.

The programme selection of the concerts will focus on the great composer Ludwig van Beethoven, whose 250th birthday will be celebrated in 2020. Under the direction of Maestro Herbert Blomstedt, some of the most important works by the master of Viennese classical music will be performed. Pianist Yefim Bronfman can be heard on the piano.
