New Dial a ride bus service What is it? . Available to anyone who wants to use is as long as their journeys lie within the area of operation . It is a service dedicated to taking people from one village to another and from villages to fixed points in market towns where they can access the services they need, including opportunities for onward journeys . It is there to support and compliment the timetabled and community bus network . Area of operation: How does it work? . Phone Volunteer Service (the Operator) 01986 875600 between 10:00 and 13:00 Monday-Friday at least 24 hours but no more than 1 week in advance of when you wish to travel . The actual vehicle will be operational between 07:00 and 19:00 from Monday through to Saturday inclusive . The Driver will accept Concessionary Fare passes . Within reason, the Driver will pick you up and drop you off at a point of your choosing. However, you might have to compromise a bit to fit in with other passengers travelling with you at the time so the service maintains flexibility . The Driver will do end-to-end journeys in rural areas, and will take you to fixed points within Debenham, Eye, Halesworth and but will not do intra-urban journeys
