• The ratio of central funding for Odisha is 60:40.

• Under RUSA 1:

a) Rs 684 crore was approved. Total Central share approved Rs 410.4 crore. Out of this Rs 297.868 crore has been released as part of Central share. Corresponding State share released is Rs 175.7822 crore. b) Approvals: creation of 1 cluster university, 2 upgradation of autonomous colleges to universities, 8 New Model Degree Colleges, infrastructure grants to 109 colleges and 9 universities, Upgrading 3 existing colleges to Model Degree Colleges and Equity initiatives c) UCs and inspection reports awaited for all components, where 2nd instalment has been released; for processing release of final instalment of central grants.

• Under RUSA 2:

a) Rs 216 crore has been approved out of which total central share is Rs. 129.6 crore so far Rs. 57.4 crore has been released. b) Approvals: 1 University for Enhancing Quality and Excellence, 6 model degree colleges, 1 college for upgradation to MDC and 20 colleges under infrastructure grants

• Combined RUSA 1 & 2:

a) Total amount approved Rs. 900 crores out of which total central share is Rs. 540 crore and total central share released so far is Rs 355.2705 cr.

Major Issues:

• The State needs to submit the Utilisation Certificate of MMER Grant, colleges which have been upgraded to MDC and under infrastructure grants, for which 1st instalment of central grants have been released. • Inspection reports of Institutions are awaited.
