STATEMENT BY MINISTER CORRECTING ANSWER TO QUESTION Shrimati [Minister of State (Independent Charge) in the )] laid on the Table, a statement (in English and Hindi) correcting the reply given in the Rajya Sabha on the 3rd March, 1997 to the Unstarred Question 893 regarding Contracts in mining/coal sector in Bihar. 2. (1) A copy each (in English and Hindi) of the following papers, under sub-section (1) of section 619A of the Companies Act, 1956:- (i) Second Annual Report and Accounts of the National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation, New Delhi, for the year 1995-96, together with the Auditors' Report on the Accounts and the comments of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India thereon. (ii) Review by Government on the working of the above Corporation. (2) Statement (in English and Hindi) giving reasons for the delay in laying the papers mentioned at (I) above. III. REPORTS AND MINUTES OF THE DEPARTMENT-RELATED PARLISMENTARY STANDING COMMITTEE ON LABOUR AND WELFARE Shri Mohinder Singh Kalyan laid on the Table, a copy each (in English and Hindi) of the following Reports and Minutes of the Standing Committee on Labour and Welfare:- (i) Fourth Report on Action Taken by the Government on the Recommendations/Observations contained in the First Report of the Standing Committee on Labour and Welfare on Demands for Grants, Ministry of Labour, 1996-97.

REPORTS OF THE DEPARTMENT-RELATED PARLIAMENTARY STANDING COMMITTEE ON PERTROLEUM AND CHEMICALS Shri Parag Chaliha laid on the Table, a copy each (in English and Hindi) of the following Reports of the Standing Committee on Petroleum and Chemicals:- (i) Ninth Report on Demands for Grants (1997-98) of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. MESSAGE FROM THE LOK SABHA The Appropriation (Railways) No. 3 Bill, 1997 Secretary-General reported to the House the following message received from the Lok Sabha, signed by the Secretary-General of the Lok Sabha: "In accordance with the provisions of rule 96 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in Lok Sabha, I am directed to enclose the Appropriation (Railways) No. 3 Bill, 1997, as passed by Lok Sabha at its sitting held on the 2nd May, 1997. The Speaker has certified that this Bill is a Money Bill within the meaning of article 110 of the Constitution of India." 8. DISCUSSION ON THE WORKING OF THE MINISTRY OF PLANNING AND PROGRAMME IMPLEMENTATION Shri Pranab Mukherjee raised a discussion on the working of the Ministry of Planning and Programme Implementation.
