Microchipping is a safe, easy and effective way to protect your pet from getting lost or stolen. A tiny chip (about the size of a grain of rice) is inserted between your pet’s shoulder blades with a unique identification number. Using the AKC REUNITE microchip program, the unique identification number is entered into a database for the lifetime of the pet. Owners can add photos and update contact information online to provide the best security.
