I worship the lotus feet of Ganesha, the son of Uma, the destroyer of all sorrows, who is served by the host of gods and elementals, and who takes the essence of the kapittha-jarnbu fruit (fruit resembling the bilwa fruit). shuklAmbaradharam vishNum shashivarNam chaturbhujam | prasanna-vadanam dhyAyEt sarva vighnopashAntaye ||

Suklambaradaram-one who wears a white garmetn; visnum; all pervading; sasivarnam; who has a brilliant complexion; chaturbhujam-who had four hands; prasannavadanam- who has an ever smiling face; dhyayet- I meditate upon; sarvavighnopashantaye- for the removal of all obstacles vakratunda mahAkAya -koti-samaprabha | nirvighnam kuru me sarvakAryeShu sarvadA ||

O, Lord Ganesha of the curved trunk and massive body, the one whose splendor is equal to millions of Suns, please bless me to that I do not face any obstacles in my endeavors.

I do vandana (glorification) of Lord Krishna, the resplendent son of Vasudev, who killed the great tormentors like Kamsa and Chanoora, who is a source of greatest joy to Devaki, and who is indeed a world teacher. mUkam karoti vAchAlam panghum langhayate girim yadkRupA tamaham vande paramAnanda madhavam

All the pain, devastation caused by fire, planets and stars will be of the past, so spoke VyAsa, emphatically . iti vyasa-virachitaM navagraha stotraM sampUrnam.

Thus ends the song of praise of the nine planets composed by Vyasa.

Thinking that objects of enjoyment such as a garland of flowers, sandal and women as giving (permanent) happiness you amuse yourself in them. They are like the Ketaki flowers, causing grief after enjoyment. o mind-bee! you wander in vain in the worthless desert of mundane existence. Resort again and again to the honey of the pure lotus-feet of (lord) Lakshmi narasimha. tavahitamekam vachanam vakShye shruNu sukhakAmo yadisatatam svapnedRuShTaM sakalam hi mRushA jAgrati cha smara tadvaditi | chetobhRunga bhramasi vRuthA bhavamarubhUmau-virasAyAm bhaja bhaja lakShmInarasimha-anaghapada sarasija makarandam || 5||

I shell tell you something beneficial. Listen! If you are desirous of eternal happiness. All things seen in a dream are untrue; you bear in mind that all things seen in the wakeful state are also alike. o mind-bee! you wander in vain in the fruitless desert of mundane existence.
