By signing up for a subscription, customers are expected to:
• Purchase their comics on a regular basis, usually in weekly or bi-weekly visits. Other arrangements can be made, but must be discussed and approved in advance with an ACME employee. This is the only exception to the rule.
• Stay in constant communication with ACME employees concerning the titles on your subscription. Your subscription affects our ordering, so if you order something that you don't buy, WE get stuck with it! Likewise, if you don't ask for something on your list, there's a chance we won't order enough and sell out. We suggest you buy the PREVIEWS catalogue so you can keep up with upcoming merchandise.
• Notify ACME employees about any and all address or telephone changes.
• Promptly purchase any special orders or back issues on hold.
• Re-shelving and/or hiding your subscription books will result in immediate scorn and permanent ridicule from any and all members of the ACME staff. We are watching you...
FOLLOWING THESE GUIDELINES CONSTITUTES MAINTAINING A "GOODWILL AGREEMENT" WITH ACME COMICS.
• ACME COMICS reserves the right to sell or re-shelve any items "abandoned" in a subscriber's box after one month, unless other arrangements have been made (see above). ACME COMICS also reserves the right to cancel any delinquent subscriber after a month's time who, in the opinion of ACME COMICS, has broken the "Goodwill Agreement". In order to give the benefit of the doubt, ACME COMICS will make ONE call to the current phone number provided by the subscriber. Subscribers will be given until closing time three days after the call is placed in order to respond about the status of their subscription. After the time limit has passed, the subscription account will be cancelled.
• All subscribers in good standing are eligible to make special orders out of Diamond's monthly PREVIEWS catalogue. Discounts will not be given on any special order items, and failure to purchase any items special ordered will result in this privilege being revoked and may involve the cancellation of the subscriber's regular subscription account. Depending on the cost of a special order item, some deposit may be required.
