The collection consists of correspondence, documentation, audio and video pertaining to activities of Sonde (formerly named MUD, Musical Design), a Montreal-based electro-acoustical group of musicians who created and played sound sources. The Charles de Mestral Papers are the personal items of Charles de Mestral (1944 - ), a member of the Sonde group from its inception. On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the second New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival. We are delighted at the response that our call for works has received, and we hope you will enjoy all of the events at this festival.
