The ICC World Cup is approaching soon and it's cricket fans around the world hyped up. This year's World Cup will be held in England and Wales and will start in a few days. With the opening scheduled for May 30, we already have a complete list of teams and players. Most recently, Virat Kohli was announced as captain of the Indian cricket team. We have also received confirmation of the 15 people who will represent the country this year. Note: This is a preliminary election to be changed by May 23, 2019. We love the line-up and he couldn't be better than Kohli in the lead and Rohit Sharma backing him as vice-captain. And while the fans are preparing to root for their favorite team, the team is all set on the way to the World Cup. In a recent Instagram upload, they keep cricket fans posted about the start of their journey. Here's what the Jets-setting cricketers are up to: the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 will have 10 teams (the number has been reduced from 14) in the run to the coveted Cup. Competing teams include Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New ealand, Pakistan, South Africa, and the West Indies. The last World Cup final, hosted by Australia and New ealand (2015), was won by host country Australia. This time, with smaller teams in management, we can expect tougher competition and therefore more entertaining matches. No ball in cricket is an illegal delivery to incur one run or two run penalty on a team pitch. Weight routine Perform 3 sets of 8 reps per exercise and then alternate between the main workout in section B and one exercise from section C each time you exercise. Bench press muscle group: Pecs, front deltoids, tricepsWhy? The bench press is an excellent upper-body compound exercise and a major exercise for batters, bowlers and wicketkeepers, since each role largely depends on the solid strength of the upper body. Muscle Squats Group: quads, buttocks, hamstringsWhy? A large power builder for the lower body, squats also help maintain stability and create a good base for sports movement. Chin-ups, top clutch muscle groups: LatsWhy? Most of the active moments on the cricket field are played in a bent position, so a strong spin is crucial to dynamic strength, endurance and avoid injury. Deadlift/ Hard Foot Deadlift Muscle Group: HamstringsWhy? It is very important that you keep the ratio between quads and hamstrings even, otherwise you are going to create a muscle imbalance that can lead to injuries. Lunge (static or walking) Muscle groups: quadsWhy? Excellent builder strength not only for your feet, but also your core. Lunges include an element of balance that is important in cricket - and most other sports to boot. Internal and External Rotations Muscle Groups: Rotator CuffsWhy? It is very important to have strong rotator cuffs, as all cricket disciplines, especially fast bowling, place a huge amount of stress on the shoulder joints. They should be strong, but equally flexible with a wide range of motion. By enhancing your core strength, you will improve overall body dynamics and minimize the risk of injury. 5 x 1 minute boards (on Swiss ball)5 x 45 seconds sideboard (star position)5 x 20 Russian turns (with medicine ball)5 x 25 crunches 5 5 5 20 25 crunches (legs up and crossed)5 x 20 dorsal lift (legs on the floor) Cardio Use these exercises to boost your VO2 max and improve stamina - perform one exercise from this section every time you exercise. 23/7s stand at the start of the line and then sprint as fast and as far as you can in 7 seconds. Place this position with a cone or t-shirt. Then you have 23 seconds to get back to your starting point. Repeat 5 times: this is considered one block, then two minutes of recovery and repeat again. Try to complete 10 blocks. Give yourself a prize if you're not nauseous. Mirror drill two squares using poles or cones, each about 3m squared. Stand in one square while your partner confronts you in another. One person then sprints in random directions and the other simulates his movement in a square, hence therefore Exercise lasts as long as a person loses the technique of movement or fatigue or both. Grappling Grappling is superb for improving ever more strength, stamina, balance and speed. Try these two exercises with a training partner about the same size. 1. Stand back to back and then turn and try to fight the other person on the ground. 2. Lie on your chest on the floor while your partner lies over your shoulders. Try to fight it for 1 minute then swap and try to keep it pinned down. 3. Kneel in front of each other and try to fight on the floor. A break in 1 minute. On Monday we were reminded that she is also a big cricket fan. While her peers sat in the front row at Paris Fashion Week, Rihanna applauded in the stands at the Cricket World Cup match in London. She wore a white and white Fenty outfit from her new fashion line, which included jeans, a tank top, a collared jacket and tinted sunglasses. Not exactly a sports uniform, but it didn't matter. Rihanna was in the game. She cheered. She laughed. She was crying. She drank what looked like champagne and some beer. The fact that she didn't spill and slick her outfit was a victory in itself. The cricket match took place between the West Indies (Miss Robin Rihanna Fenty was originally from Barbados) and Sri Lanka. It's almost the only thing I understand about it, other than what the West Indies have lost, the drop of 23 is missing. I can't even tell you what the score was because it's too confusing. All I know is that Rihanna seems to know everything about cricket. And now I want to know how cricket works, too. Get on the team! Cricket still has four and five days of matches, but shorter variations have brought a new generation of fans and made the game easier to understand for first-time viewers. Cricket is the most popular in the Commonwealth, so countries such as Australia, India, South Africa, and England have the largest stadiums, some of which saw their first action more than a century ago. The most iconic of The structures are known all over the world of cricket. Some places, however, are also known for landscapes their boundaries as they are for their stands and what has happened on the playing surface over the years. Visitors visiting these areas can see mountains, ancient forts or castles, forests, oceans and temples. Here are 10 of the most beautiful cricket venues in the world. Photo Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA), which is just a few years old, is located at an altitude of nearly 5,000 feet above sea level in Dharamsala, India. It serves as home to the Himachal Pradesh State Club and has hosted matches for the hugely popular Indian Premier League, as well as games involving the Indian national team. The Dhauladhar Mountains are visible in the background, and the stadium itself has architectural elements and design features that are unique to this part of the country. The beauty of the neighborhood has its price. Despite the fact that the stadium hosted high-profile events, it is not the most accessible place. The nearest airport is only a few miles away, but the route to the ground is determined by hilly terrain and roads that can fall victim to heavy rains and snow. However, the average rate is above zero in winter and matches are held all year round. Photo: Rich T Photo/Shutterstock Newlands cricket ground (now called PPC Newlands for sponsorship reasons) is located in Cape Town, South Africa, next to the rugby stadium, which is also called Newlands. The venue is home to a South African cricket franchise called Cape Cobras, and also hosts matches featuring the highly rated South African national team. The land has a long history that dates back to the 1880s, but it has changed quite a bit over the years and now accommodates 25,000 fans. Newlands differs from other cricket locations with its background, which features Table Mountain and Devil's Peak, two of Cape Town's most recognizable geographical features. Although various pavilions and stands have sprung up over the years, some fans can still sit on the grassy hills that surround parts of the stadium. This is how the audience watched the matches for most of the hundred-plus-year history. Photo: Timothy Barton/Wikimedia Now known as The Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in honour of St Lucia's most famous cricketer, Beausejour Stadium opened in the early 2000s. Located near Gros Islet, it got its original name from Beausejour Hills, which create a backdrop for the venue. The stands overlook Rodney Bay, which is popular with tourists. Fans based in Gros Islet go to games on the picturesque Castris-Gros Island Highway. The stadium hosted international matches involving the West Indies cricket team (players from all Caribbean countries play in the same team at international matches) and it is home to a regional team that Windward Islands. Stadium hosts games during annual Caribbean premiere T20 cricket tournament (the shortest cricket format) known for the carnival atmosphere surrounding matches. Photo: Astronomyinertia/Wikimedia Asgiriya Stadium It seats about 10,000 spectators, and major matches in Kandi, a hilly city in Sri Lanka, are usually held at the suburban Pallekele Stadium. Asgiria, which is owned by Trinity College , was founded more than a century ago, but it was not promoted to international matches until the 1980s. It is currently home to the Kandy Cricket Club as well as hosts Hockey on the grass. Kandi is incredibly hilly, so the original builders had to flatten the land in Asgiria to create a playing surface. Because of this, the stadium is surrounded by hills. The Buddhist Research Institute Of Kandi is right behind the gate, so you can pass a mix of monks and cricket fans on your way to the match here. ESPN CricInfo pointed to the hills surrounding the buildings and the general tranquillity of the land, calling Asgiria one of the most beautiful cricket venues on Earth. Photograph: Rob Jefferies/Getty Images Located in queenstown on the southern island of New York, this multifunctional location is located at the foot of a mountain range aptly named Remarkables. It is also close to the shore of Lake Wakatipu. The scenery is wonderful, but the audience also get a close look at the big commercial airliners that take off from the airport of queenstown, which is right next door. Two of the most popular team sports in New York, cricket and rugby, take place at Davis Park as part of the event centre, which also has indoor facilities, a water park and a sports training centre. Cricket teams representing queenstown and its region, Otago, play in the park, and the stadium has hosted international matches involving the New ealand national team (nicknamed the Black Caps for the colour of the hat). Photo: Timothy Craig Lubcke/Shutterstock The Adelaide Oval is located in a park area between the city centre and North Adelaide. In addition to hosting major cricket events, the Oval has Aussie rules football, rugby league and rugby union matches. Despite modern renovations, the green setting makes this place look like a classic cricket ground. In addition to the parks, spectators have a view of the historical architecture of St. Peter's Basilica behind the scoreboard. The scoreboard and some grandstands are listed on Adelaide's historic roster, although new stands have been added over the years to increase capacity. The Oval has hosted major matches, including a series of five-day Test matches between Australia and England known as the Ashes. This is perhaps the most intense rivalry in long form cricket today. Unlike many cricket grounds that have some asymmetry, Adelaide is a true oval, meaning that the boundaries in either direction are at the same distance from the batsmen, they are in in in the opposite direction. Photo welivecricket.com/Flickr Riverside Land is being called Emirates Riverside for sponsorship reasons. The venue is an international match involving the England cricket team, and is now the home of the Durham County Cricket Club. (England's domestic professional cricket leagues are organized by county.) Although the land has hosted matches only since the 1990s, it has a classic look and is surrounded by parks. In addition to the green spaces that define this place in northern England is Lumley Castle. Fans and players can see the 14th century building from inside the grounds. In fact, the castle now has accommodation, and visiting cricket teams sometimes stay there when they come to play in Riverside. Riverside will be one of the venues for the 2019 World Cup. Photo: Spawn Man/Wikimedia Basin Reserve, in Wellington, N.Y., dates back to the 1860s, when wetlands were flattened and drained with the help of local prisoners after a major earthquake. The land is now listed as a historic site. Normally referred to as a swimming pool by locals, it held its first international Test match, between New ealand and England, back in 1930. On the ground there are still long hills where spectators can sit on the grass and watch games. These low hills create a natural barrier that partially blocks Wellington's notorious winds (the city of New York is the windiest city on Earth with an average wind speed of 16 miles per hour). Mount Cook and Mount Victoria are also visible from the ground. Photo: Sanjiva Persad/Wikimedia The Royal Park Oval in Trinidad is the largest cricket stadium in the West Indies with a capacity of about 20,000 people. The oldest grandstand in this location was built in the late 19th century, and the stadium hosted international matches and World Cup matches, and was home to Trinidad's regional cricket teams and franchises. The mountains outside Port 23 are clearly visible from part of the stadium. The walls outside the grounds have a different kind of scenery. They have works of art by local artists in different environments. Photograph: Stu Forster/ALLSPORT/Getty Images Galle International Stadium in Halle, Sri Lanka. The land is located between the Indian Ocean (on both sides) and the historical fortress, which dates back to the 16th century. The stadium itself began its life as a racetrack in the 19th century. He has played many important international matches in recent decades and the Sri Lankans consider him one of the luckiest places for their national cricket team. The stadium was badly damaged by the Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004. The area has been turned into a temporary camp for tsunami survivors and a base for helicopter operations. The stadium reopened in 2007. Venue determined Halle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spectators previously watched matches from the territory of the fort. Fort.
