LT Ryan Goldsmith Jun-19 590 Electronic Systems Engineering LT Ryan Goldsmith commissioned from the United States Naval Academy in 2012 with a degree in Aerospace Engineering into the Naval Aviation Community. He was a Student Naval Aviator and was re-designated into the Cryptologic Warfare Officer Community. His main responsibilities since then have included Battle Watch Captain for the Fleet Information Operations Center, Maryland, as well as Deputy Branch Chief within the National Security Agency’s Cybersecurity Operations Directorate. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering Degree at the Naval Postgraduate School. LT Patrick Amundson Dec-17 815 Acquisitions & Contracting Management Lieutenant Amundson graduated from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota, with a BA in Political Science and Psychology. Following his commission from Officer Candidate School in 2005, he attended Supply Corps School in Athens, Georgia. In 2013, he graduated from the Officer Basic Course in Groton, Connecticut. He is currently an Acquisition and Contract Management MBA student at the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California. LTJG Christopher Olsen Dec-18 837 Financial Management LTJG Christopher Olsen, , is a Surface Warfare Officer who is coming from his first division officer sea tour on USS Chosin in Pearl Harbor; serving as Combat Information Center Officer and Training Officer. He is one of the first four SWOs to be recommended for NPS study after their first division officer tour. He has operational experience at sea in the SOUTHCOM AOR as submarine escort. Currently, he is a student in the Financial Management curriculum. After graduating from NPS, he will return to the fleet for his second sea based division officer tour. LCDR Brandon Carter Jun-19 373 METOC LCDR Robert “Brandon” Carter grew up in West Chester, PA and received a bachelor’s degree in economics from The US Naval Academy in 2006. He is currently enrolled in the Meteorology and Oceanography curriculum at Naval Postgraduate School and is scheduled to graduate in June 2019. As a surface warfare officer, his first tour was onboard PORT ROYAL from 2007 to 2009 as the Strike Officer. LT Carter reported to his next Division Officer tour aboard USS REUBEN JAMES FFG-57 also located in Pearl Harbor from 2009 to 2010 as the Auxiliaries Officer. Following his sea duty, LCDR Carter reported to Naval Support Activity Monterey, CA from 2011 to 2013 as the Operations Officer (N3). Immediately following this tour, he reported to USS RONALD REAGAN CVN-76 from 2013-2014 as a Combat Officer and Operations Intelligence Division Officer. Upon lateral transfer to the Oceanography Community, he reported to Fleet Weather Center San Diego from 2014 to 2016, acting as the Assistant Operations Officer and Aviation Principal Assistant. ENS Jim Catina Jun-17 525 Undersea Warfare ENS Jim Catina is a 2016 Graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, attending NPS as part of the Bowman Scholarship Program. He is currently a student in the Undersea Warfare Academic Group, obtaining a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Upon his graduation in June 2017, ENS Catina will report to NNPTC in Charleston, SC to begin his training as a submarine officer.

LT William 'Bill' Huff Mar-18 847 Manpower Systems Analysis LT William “Bill” Huff, USN, is an HR officer and has previously served on Minesweepers, LSD-cargo, and (enlisted) during his nearly 17 years in the service. His shore duties have included Penn State University for STA-21, Officer recruiting and division officer for NRD Pittsburgh, and department head and medical officer recruiting subject matter expert at the recruiting school house. He has extensive knowledge of conventional navigation, and operational experience with Atlantic fleet ballistic missile operations; minesweeping operations in the Arabian Gulf, Gulf of Mexico, and the Pacific; and expeditionary warfare and counter-piracy operations in the Arabian Gulf, Gulf of Aden,

LCDR Kyle Kobold Dec-17 580 Systems Engineering LCDR Kyle Kobold, United States Navy, is a recent lateral transfer to the Engineering Duty Officer community. His previous assignments include tours aboard fast attack, guided missile, and ballistic missile submarines. His shore duties include tours with Naval Special Warfare Group Three and Strategic Systems Programs. His operational experience includes five deployments in the Asia-Pacific theater of operations. Currently he is a student in the Systems Engineering curriculum.

ENS Donald Puent Jun-17 533 Combat Systems Science & Engineering ENS Donald Puent, United States Navy, is a 2016 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, where he majored in Physics. He was selected as a Bowman scholar and sent to the Naval Postgraduate School for his first assignment, where he is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Applied Physics with a focus on High Energy Laser weapons development. After graduating in June 2016, he will attend the in Charleston, to commence submarine officer training.

LT Brad Kinnamon Dec-19 533 Combat Systems Science & Engineering LT Brad Kinnamon, United States Navy, is a Duty Officer (EDO(N)) with sea tours on USS Halsey (DDG 97) as Electrical and Auxiliaries Officer and USS Enterprise (CVN 65) as Reactor Mechanic division officer and decommissioning crew. His shore duties include Naval Nuclear Power School and Prototype in Charleston, SC and Engineering Assessments Pacific in San Diego, CA. He has operational experience in the the Middle East and Horn of Africa and has served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Currently he is a student in the Applied Physics curriculum. Capt Jimmy Housley Jun-17 360 Operations Analysis Capt Jimmy Housley, United State Marine Corps, is a financial management officer who has served with 1st Marine Division as well as I MEF. During his time at 1st Marine Division, he deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom where he served as a financial management advisor to the 215th Corps, Afghan National Army. Currently, he is a student in the Operations Research curriculum and will be transitioning to Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Va, upon graduating.

Capt Ezra Akin PhD 360 Operations Analysis Capt Ezra Akin, United States Marine Corps, is a Logistician who has served throughout 2d Marine Division and II MEF including, 2d Tank Bn, 2d Light Armored Reconnaissance Bn, and the II MEF Headquarters Group. During this time, he deployed to the Black Sea, Mediterranean, and West Coast of Africa as the S-4, Logistics Officer, for the Security- Cooperation Task-Force, under Africa Partnership Station 2012. Most recently, he was Company Commander for more than 800 Marines, Sailors, and civilians. Currently, he is a student in the Operations Research curriculum and upon completion of the Master’s Program, this summer, has been selected to continue his education in the Operations Research PhD Program.

LT Christine Cairoli Sep-17 360 Operations Analysis LT Christine Cairoli, United States Navy, is a human resources officer and former surface warfare officer. She served as the electronic warfare officer on USS Roosevelt (DDG-80) where she deployed in support of operations off the east coast of Africa. LCDR Christine Fletcher Mar-18 360 Operations Analysis LCDR Christine Fletcher, United States Navy, is a Human Resources officer. Her shore duties include a tour at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (Instructor), Officer Recruiting in Raleigh, NC and Personal Protocol for Locklear at Pacific Command. She has operational experience in Balad, Iraq at the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force - Arabian Peninsula in support of Operation NEW DAWN, and on the USS CARL VINSON in support of Operation INHERENT RESOLVE. She is currently a student in the Operations Research curriculum with a focus on Data Analysis.

Leon Tan, Singapore Sep-17 570 Naval/Mechanical Engineering Leon Tan, Singapore, is a defence contractor design and developing drones locally in Singapore for the Singapore Armed Forces. The drones ranges from a 2kg to 5kg multi-rotors platforms to 5kg to 70 kg fixed wing UAS able to perform multi missions. He serves as a volunteer in the SAF - Army as officer in a Infantry Unit back in Singapore. Currently he is a student in the Weapon System Curriculum and his thesis explores the application of swarm technologies in a post disaster region.

LCDR Daniel DeCicco Jun-17 308 Systems Engineering Analysis LCDR Dan DeCicco, United States Navy, is a Naval Aviator who has primarily flown the MH-60S during multiple deployments. His shore duties include tours as a helicopter flight instructor and helicopter safety analyst. He has operational experience in the Middle East and aboard Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, serving primarily in Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, and New Dawn. Currently he is a student in the Systems Engineering Analysis curriculum, graduating in June, and follow-on orders to CENTCOM in Tampa, FL.

LT Josh Heaney Grad 368 Computer Science LT Josh Heaney, United States Navy, is a surface warfare officer with over four years at sea. His initial sea tour was in USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC 19) as Electronic Warfare Officer and Repair Officer. For his second tour, he served in USS CURTIS WILBUR (DDG 54) as Fire Control Officer. LT Heaney completed numerous deployments in support of Commander, Seventh Fleet operations. These include operations in the South China Sea, Yellow Sea, and Philippian Sea as well as numerous joint exercises including Olympic Titan operations. He recently completed a Master’s Degree in Computer Science at the Naval Postgraduate School and selected to begin the surface warfare, Warfare Tactics Instructor Course (Integrated Air and Missile Defense) in July.

Capt Will Campbell Grad 326 Cyber Systems and Operations CPT William Campbell, United States Army, is an Intelligence officer but has also served as an Armor officer. He has served as a scout platoon leader, executive officer, and Squadron planner. Most recently, he has commanded two companies, one a military intelligence company in combat and another a Armored Brigade headquarters and headquarters company in garrison. He has operational experience in the Middle East serving twice in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He is a recent graduate of the Cyber Systems and Operations curriculum and is headed to Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, KS.

Capt Anthony Ambriz Jun-17 368 Computer Science Capt Anthony “Tony” Ambriz, is an air traffic controller in the United States Marine Corps. He has operational experience in the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and has served in Operation Enduring Freedom. He has completed both

LT Luis Aybar Grad 326 Cyber Systems and Operations LT Luis Aybar is a ten year Naval Intelligence officer and recent graduate of NPS in the Cyber Systems and Operations curriculum. Before arriving at NPS, he was an intelligence briefer in the Pentagon as part of the Chief of Naval Operations Intelligence Plot (CNO-IP) responsible for briefing the CNO and the other senior members of the OPNAV staff. While in national capital region, LT Aybar also spent a year at the Office of Naval Intelligence reinvigorating the Navy’s HUMINT capability. Prior that he was part of the Fleet Intelligence Adaptive Force (FIAF), where he managed and trained a cadre of Sailors for Individual Augmentee assignments in support of the GWOT. He also deployed to AFG for a yearlong assignment to the Detention Facility in Parwan (DFIP) to collect financial intelligence from detainees. Finally, his first assignment following commissioning and intel school was two years in the Horn of Africa as intelligence analyst and trainer of African forces.

LTC Naimat Virk Dec-17 693 Combating Terrorism: Policy and Strategy LTC Naimat H Virk, Pakistan Army, is in Infantry Officer by trade. The officer has commanded his unit in an active zone of operation, the Mountainous region in Kashmir. The officer has combat experience fighting and commanding a company in War on Terror in Waziristan tribal area bordering Afghanistan. The officer has also served as part of UN Peace keeping force in DRC, Africa. The officer has attended Army Staff course. The officer has done Masters in Arts and Science of Warfare. Currently he is a student in the National Security Affairs Department, curriculum 693, Countering Terrorism, Policy and Strategy.

Maj Andrew Reaves Jun-18 684 Europe and Eurasia Major Andrew Reaves, United States Marine Corps, is an Artillery Officer who has served in multiple billets at the Battery, Battalion, and Regimental level both in Artillery Units and while attached as a liaison officer to Infantry Units. He has also served with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit as an Asian-Pacific Theater Security Cooperation Exercise Planner and as a Training Adviser to the United Arab Emirates Presidential Guard. He has deployed twice to combat - once to Al Anbar Province, Iraq in 2008 in support of in Operation Iraqi Freedom and once to Helmand Province, Afghanistan in 2009 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He is a distinguished graduate from both the Marine Corps' Expeditionary Warfare School (Resident) and Command and Staff College (Distance Education Program). He is currently a student in the National Security Affairs Department with a focus on Eurasian security studies.

LT Todd Coursey Sep-18 533 Combat Systems Science & Engineering LT TODD COURSEY is currently pursuing his Master Degree in Applied Physics with an emphasis on acoustic sensors. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1998 as a Nuclear Machinist Mate. After completion of the Nuclear Field training pipeline he reported to USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN 71) where he served as the Chief Machinery Operator and later onboard USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN 69) as the lead Quality Assurance Inspector for Machinery Division during her RCOH in Newport News Shipyard. In 2004, LT Coursey was selected for instructor duty at Nuclear Field "A" School in Charleston S.C., during which time he completed his BS degree in applied science and technology and was selected for Officer Candidate School (OCS) in August 2009. Following completion of OCS, LT Coursey reported aboard USS ASHLAND (LSD 48) and served as the Shipboard Maintenance and Material Officer during her Midlife Overhaul. Upon completion of his tour, he transferred into the Engineering Duty Officer community and served as a Waterfront project officer and the DARPA funded Fabrication Laboratory Project Officer at Mid Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) in Norfolk VA. He served as an Education Specialist Panelist for the Sea-air-space expo on additive manufacturing, OSD maintenance and policy sponsored NCMS (National Centerfor Manufacturing Sciences) Technology Showcase, and NAMTI (Naval Additive Manufacturing technology inter change).
