NSG Track & Field 2019 Finals Admin Instructions (29 Mar) Athletes Athlete Safety

Warm-up areas • Practice Track • 100 plus Promenade / covered walkway beside KPT (if raining) • Call Room 2 • Warm-up at internal service road strictly not allowed

Passage from Call room 1 to Call room 2 • Reporting • 40mins before event (track) • 55mins before event (field) • Call room 1: Underpass beside KPT • Competitors will be ushered to Call Room 2 • Barricade will be set up at internal service road for safety of athletes • Athletes with multiple events will be ushered back to Call Room 2 to await reporting for next event • Athletes are not to go to Call Room 2 on their own. Emergency Evacuation

For Athletes • In the event of an emergency, all athletes and officials will take the exit to internal service road . • Officials and athletes will assemble at the Kallang Practice Track. • Teachers-in-charge of athletes will take attendance and account for all athletes. • Wait for instructions from the officials. Medical coverage • First-Aid booths will be set up to administer or provide assistance if required • Near the finish line next to the track • At Kallang practice track • East Entrance • Water point will be set up near the finish line, for hydration • Ambulances on stand-by, if required • at internal service road near W 45, entrance nearest to finish line • at internal service road near E 26, East Entrance • at the Bus Bay at Kallang Practice Track

• Team Manager to accompany student to the hospital, if medical evacuation is required. Spectators Transport • Schools are advised to alight and board buses at Carpark 4 (next to Kallang Leisure Park Mall) • Alighting area will be cordoned off to ease traffic flow • CISCO officers will be present on site to supervise alighting • There will be no fixed area provided for departure. Schools are advised to minimise bus arrangements for departure to avoid congestion to the roads • For schs with 2 or less buses, you may choose to alight along any of the bus drop-off points. • Schools to make their own way into the stadium via Gates 15, 16, 20 and 21. • Gates 15, 16 & 20 will only be open after 12.00pm. • Schools are advised to provide their own ushers to gates, if required. • Please avoid over-crowding the 100 Plus Promenade outside the gates if possible • Spectators are advised to be seated at allocated seats (Do not move between level 4 and 3). • Teachers to maintain discipline of their own students at the spectator stand. • Schools who have not indicated seating should be seated in the general area 21 Security Checks

• There will be 100% bag checks. Do avoid bringing the following items: • Sports Rackets • Poles of any sort/floorball or hockey sticks • Outside food & drinks will not be allowed into the stadium. Students to bring in filled water bottles.

28 Emergency Evacuation

For Spectators • In the event of an emergency, all the “Exit” doors and gates will automatically open. • Teachers and students are to take the nearest exit and assemble at the 100 Plus promenade. • Signage will be placed • Teachers are to take attendance and account for everyone. • Wait for instructions from the officials. 33 Banners & Logistics

• Banners/flags & other logistics deposited in the stadium will have to be removed before end of event on 29 Mar. • Teacher IC and student helpers are to meet at the Level 3 Concourse at block 126 after the last event. The Sports Hub facility team will facilitate this process.

34 Finals Points to Note

• There will be an official photographer for victory ceremony. No photographers will be allowed onto the track. Images will be shared with participating schools. • Camera with lens longer than the forearm are not allowed into the Spectator Stand. • For final victory ceremony and after the event: Only athletes with number tags & Teacher ICs will be allowed on the track • Field is out of bounds • There will be possible media interviews. Teacher IC to give permission before interview can be conducted • Protests should be registered to Org Comm at the results area as soon as possible to minimise impact on subsequent events. • Active SG event will start at 6pm.
