Visningen av ettåringarna sker på Solvallas stallbacke tisdag 17 augusti från kl. 10:00. Stall- backen är i skrivande stund en arbetsplats öppen för licensierade tränare och andra yrkes- verksamma. Ert arbete har de senaste åren resulterat i ett snittpris på cirka 400.000 kr både på Wenngarn och nu senast på Solvalla, där fem ettåringar såldes för över miljonen – pandemin till trots! I höstas kunde vi bland annat se Mister Hercules (Trixton–Baghdad Dream) triumfera hem Breeders’ Crown för treåriga hingstar och valacker. Även treåringarna imponerar. Trion Ready for Party (Muscle Hill–Fleetfoot Hanover), Mister Invictus (Ready Cash–Vanity Matters) och All In Sox (Ready Cash–Dicey Spicey) har inte bara gemensamt att de alla såldes för över en miljon kronor på auktionen 2019, utan även att deras tävlingsdebuter har slutat med seger. Det har nu gått över ett år sedan vi slet vårt hår, planerade om och flyttade hela förra årets auktion från Wenngarns Slottspark till Solvallas Stallbacke till följd av Covid-19. Då hade vi aldrig kunnat drömma om att vi skulle stå inför samma dilemma i år igen, men det finns ljusglimtar! Folkhälsomyndigheten har tagit fram tre nivåer av lättnader. Vi är nu i nivå tre och vår förhopp- ning är att vi, när det är dags för auktion, ska ha nått ytterligare en nivå. Landets travbanor har äntligen fått öppna upp sina restaurang- och publikområden och även vi kommer bjuda in till auktionsmiddag i Restaurang Kongressen. Där kommer vi kunna följa auktionen live, njuta av vackra välstammade hästar och äta god mat tillsammans, om än på replängds avstånd och med begränsat antal sittplatser. Stallbacken kommer att vara en arbetsplats, men även där finns hopp om lättnader. Budgivningen kommer ske digitalt via yearlingsale.se. Både för att möta de som inte kan vara på plats samt den internationella publiken, som visade stort intresse ifjol. Kanske är det här framtidens auktionsformat?! Vi har vidareutvecklat vår auktionslösning där hästarna nu säljs en i taget och där vi kan kombinera det digitala eventet med det som händer i ringen och under auktionsmiddagen. Det värmer att kunna presentera en katalog som denna – fylld till bredden med spännande ett- åringar. En härlig blandning av marknadsledande hingstar; högaktuelle Walner som dominerat de amerikanska babyracen samt nya spännande hingstar som Tactical Landing, International Moni, Fourth Dimension och Face Time Bourbon. Min förhoppning är att det ska finnas en häst för alla i denna katalog! Varmt välkomna till Sweden International Yearling Sale på Solvalla och digitalt på yearlingsale.se! It has been a year since we tore our hair, redesigned and moved the entire sale from Wenng- arn’s Castle to Solvalla as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. We could never dreamed that we would face the same dilemma this year, but there are gleam of light! The Swedish Public Health Agency has developed three levels of relief.

Det historiske øjeblik Da Tarok blev international om eftermiddagen den 26. september 1976 Lars Donatzky Var det det største øjeblik i dansk travsports historie? Det kan altid diskuteres, men I hvert fald har jeg hverken hørt om eller kan mindes et løb, der på forhånd var omgærdet af tilsvarende skyhøje forventninger, og vel at mærke forventninger, der på forbløffende vis blev klart overgået af virkeligheden. Datoen var den 26. september 1976, løbet var Koster Memorial med indledende afdeling og finale, og det nye og doserede banelegeme i Charlottenlund var blevet indviet en uge tidligere med sejr for Ove Juel og Jørgen Olsen. Ove Juel havde besejret 72-derbyvinderen Osman Bogø i (Harald Lund) i 1:19,6 -2000 meter, og den almindelige vurdering var, at banen stadig var lidt løs og derved mindst et sekund fra det optimale. Fire uger tidligere havde Tarok og en 32-årig Jørn Laursen lukket det gamle flade banelegeme med ny derbyrekord 1:19,9 fra spids foran Tulle Søgård (Mogens Larsen), Talisman Sus (Sören Norberg) og Trøjborgtøsen (Kaj Jensen).
