SHUT THE FRONT DOOR • Strauss Mann collected a 4-0 shutout vs. Ohio State on Sunday (March 14). It was his fifth shutout of the season - tying him for first in the nation - and his 11th career. He now moves into sole possession of fourth place on Michigan's all-time shutout list, passing Shawn Hunwick (2007-12). • Strauss Mann is one of nine goalies to be named a finalist for the Mike Richter Award. Mann was among five finalists for the honor last season. The committee will select the top three finalist on or about March 22, with the winner announced at the Frozen Four. • The HCA named Strauss Mann the National Goaltender of the Month for January along with Minnesota State Mankato's Dryden McKay. Mann went 3-1 with a pair of shutouts to kick off 2021, stopping 110 of 114 shots faced.

• Mel Pearson was named the ninth head coach in hockey history on Monday, April 24, 2017.

• During his first season as the Michigan Head Coach, led the team to a 22-15-3 record, and a Frozen Four berth. He was a finalist for the Spencer Penrose Award.

• In that first campaign, the Wolverines only suffered losses to three teams following the annual that concluded January 2, 2018. Michigan won its last five regular season games in regulation before heading off to the Big Ten Tournament.

• Pearson led the Wolverines to an NCAA Northeast Regional Championship, defeating Northeastern and Boston University to return Michigan to the Frozen Four for a record 25th time.

• Pearson became the first coach in history to lead two different programs to NCAA Tournament berths in consecutive seasons and one of five coaches to lead a team to the Frozen Four in their first season at the helm in the past 20 years.

• Pearson returned to Ann Arbor following an impressive six-year stint as head coach at Michigan Tech.
