TROOP 616 SUMMER EVENTS couts are on an adventure yet again. Troop 616 went on two more Shigh adventure campouts this summer. First Troop 616 traveled to Islamorada in the beautiful Florida Keys to have a week-long adventure. They participated in the PADI Open-Water Scuba Diving Adventure and did other activities we don’t enjoy in Texas every day. After the wet beaches of Florida, Troop 616 went to the arid weather in New Mexico. At Philmont Scout Ranch, scouts were challenged with more than 214 Florida Sea Base: A group shot of the bold Troop 616 scouts and leaders after their last square miles of rugged northern New Mexico wilderness. Troop 616 Open Water Dive partook in backpacking treks, horseback cavalcades, and training and service programs in the ‘legendary country’. Summer activities are just the tip of the iceberg for Troop 616. Known for their year round outdoor activities, the Troop meets weekly from September to May at The Club at New Territory and is open to all boys ages 11 and up (no previous scouting membership/experience necessary). If you are interested in joining or have any questions, contact the Scoutmaster, Mr. Phillip Sedita, at [email protected] or visit our website at http://troop616tx.mytroop.us.
