Skrobotov received 4.XII.2009 Abstract: A description of the preimaginal stages and the rearing peculiarities of Suana concolor Walker , 1855, are given for the population of northern Vietnam. The distribution of the species is discussed; the Vietnamese population is considered within the nominotypical subspecies. Zusammenfassung: Von der Population aus Nordvietnam von Suana concolor Walker , 1855 werden die Präimaginal-Stadien be schrieben, dazu wird über die Besonderheiten der Zucht berichtet. Im Rahmen der Gesamtverbreitung der Art wird die Population aus Vietnam zur namenstypischen Unterart gezogen. With this article we are starting a circle devoted to preimaginal instars of Bombycoid moths. The main aim is to study their biology and morphology, so that the data obtained, can be used to define the status and taxonomic score of individual taxa. For many species of the Bombycoidea such data are very fragmental and completely unknown, with knowledge confined only to genera. Also, rearing can be especially helpful in matching the sexes of some tropical species having distinct sexual dimorphism. -

A la fecha esta ha sido una plaga que a través del tiempo y poco a poco representa un daño considerable de importancia económica, lo anterior, denota la necesidad de estudiar al insecto para proporcionar el conocimiento técnico-científico que proporcione certeza sobre las especies presentes, distribución e incidencia de la plaga en los huertos comerciales de aguacate y encontrar el producto químico que logre atenuar y controlar su presencia. Objetivo evaluar la efectividad biológica de Clorantranilipro con la formulación Coragen® 20 SC en aplicación foliar Con lo escrito hasta aquí en el resumen, no tiene nada que ver con la propuesta. La unidad experimental quedó constituida por tres árboles con una separación entre árboles de tres metros y 5.5 metros de ancho de carril en cuatro repeticiones. Los árboles tenían cinco años de edad. Se recomienda la dosis de Coragen 20 SC de 100, 200, 300 y 400 ml de pc/h .ya que demostró cambian d tener control de gusano telarañero por arriba del 95 % en promedio Por qué recomendar dosis altas si la dosis más baja fue efectiva, controles que fueron superiores o iguales a los obtenidos con el Tratamiento comercial. -

Simple Summary: In this study, the mitogenomes of Hestina persimilis and Hestinalis nama were obtained via sanger sequencing. Compared with other mitogenomes of Apaturinae butterflies, conclusions can be made that the mitogenomes of Hestina persimilis and Hestinalis nama are highly conservative. The phylogenetic trees build upon mitogenomic data showing that the relationships among Nymphalidae are similar to previous studies. Hestinalis nama is apart from Hestina, and closely related to Apatura, forming a monophyletic clade. Citation: Wu, Y.; Fang, H.; Wen, J.; Wang, J.; Cao, T.; He, B. The mitogenomes of H. persimilis persimilis and Hestinalis nama and H. nama are 15,252 bp and 15,208 bp in length, respectively. These two mitogenomes have the (Lepidoptera, Nymphalidae): typical composition, including 37 genes and a control region. -

H. Swezey as its editor. After nearly forty years, at his own request, Mr. Swezey has relinquished the direction of this periodical in order to devote himself more fully to his studies of the native Hawaiian insect fauna. Under his editorship the Pro ceedings attained a position unique among journals of its kind, and constitutes an enduring monument to Mr. Swezey's long devotion to Hawaiian entomology. The amount of work he devoted to the production of the Proceedings cannot be fully appreciated by most of us. We know, however, that he has given to it the same fresh interest and zest which all phases of entomology claim from him. For the Society we wish to express our appreciation of his long and efficient service as editor, and the hope that as Editor Emeritus, he will continue for many years to counsel his successors on the editorial committee. Besides an illustrated account of their genitalia, diagnostics of these subfamilies, genera and species are also provided.
