This demonstration shows exactly what this remarkable product does and just how fast & easy it is T to use. FLOWEASY Drain Cleaner is a buffered organic digester that is capable of cleaning out evenT the toughest clogs in a snap. It cuts through grease, paper, hair, fat, soap, sanitary napkins and other organic materials, but is still safe for metal pipes, pvc pipes and even septic tanks. In fact, FLOWEASY is so safe that if you accidentally get it on your skin, you have five minutes to safely wash it off. Our demonstration begins with the creation of a “clogged drain”. And we do mean clogged! Grease, paper, napkins – you name it, we’ll add it to our “pipe”. Then we make our problem tougher by adding water directly to the clog. What a mess! Next we add the proper amount of FLOWEASY directly into our “pipe”. You’ll see the “clog” start to dissolve immediately! FLOWEASY is the only product of it’s kind that gradually heats up once poured into a toilet or drain. This allows the porcelain, pvc or metal pipe to temper with the increased heat and prevents cracking or other damage to the plumbing or fixtures. Allow FLOWEASY to work on the “clog” for fif- teen minutes, then flush the pipe for five minutes with cold water to neutralize the sulfuric acid action. That’s it! Your clog is gone and your pipes are clean! Just check the chart on the bottle to determine the correct amount of FLOWEASY to use, and you’re on your way to hassle-free plumbing. FLOWEASY is available both in cartons and a variety of assortments. We also offer an attractive display unit to help increase sales. FLOWEASY comes in pint, quart, half-gallon and gallon bottles and is safe to sell to professionals and home owners. Call us with your order today! FLOWEASY… Safe, Strong and Effective! WANT TO SEE FLOWEASY IN ACTION? We would like to invite you to view our FLOWEASY demonstration for yourself. We believe that once you see FLOWEASY in action, you will be as sold on this product as we are. Let our friend Ryan explain all the benefits of FLOWEASY while she demonstrates it’s usage. You’ll be amazed at how safe and effective FLOWEASY really is. Just visit our website, www.Floweasy.com to view this demo for yourself! FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT DRAIN OPENERS Question: Porcelain Tub My 20-year-old cast-iron tub has rusted after using your product. How can I get it clean again? Answer: The reason for the rust is that the protective coating on the porcelain has worn off over time. Generally, within five years from the time you start using a tub the protective coating virtually disappears. Due to the corrosive nature of our product, the fumes seep into any pores in the porcelain's coating and create a condition known as “mill rust”. This can be cleaned off by using a mild rust cleaner. A good product to use is a cleaner called Whink. Whink can be found on the laundry aisle of most grocery stores. It is known to safely clean delicate fabrics and is just as safe to use on your porcelain tub. Cleaning the tub with Whink will bring back the white look of the porcelain. Porcelain tubs will last forever; unfortunately the protective coatings on the exterior of them will not. So the only way to avoid mill rust and other stains is to have your tub's coating refinished by a professional. Question: Toilet I used your product in the toilet, but it did not seem to work. What happened? Answer: Many times the clogs in a toilet are actually past the toilet itself (in the drain line) and you need to get our product to the problem for it to work properly. Due to the amount of water in the toilet (between the bowl and the drain line), the product becomes diluted and is weak by the time it reaches the organic material that it needs to dissolve. One suggestion is to take about a 4’ piece of plastic garden hose, attach a funnel to one end and feed the loose end down the toilet. Carefully pour 12 to 16 ounces of our drain opener down the hose. This will get the product directly to the location of the clog giving it the opportunity to work at full strength. Another hint: For a toilet to work properly, it requires proper airflow. Often birds or mice will try to build a nest in your air vent which is directly above the bathroom toilet through the roof. If you have the ability to go on top of your roof and inspect your air vent, you may see that there is trash blocking the airflow. This will create a slow draining toilet. Although we encourage you to call a plumber to clear this type of clog, you can pour 8 oz. of our product down the stack to clear the trash. Be sure to keep your face away from the stack in case fumes rise back up. If you do decide to pour our product down the stack, it is recommended that you run your plastic garden hose down the stack until it stops and flush the stack with cold water before adding the drain opener. Always remember to be careful when climbing ladders. Question: Septic Tanks Will your drain opener hurt my septic tank? Answer: No, our drain opener is safe for septic tanks. It will not kill the bacteria. However, we do recommend that you use our Super Bac Septic Tank Treatment on a regular basis to maintain the beneficial bacteria in your septic tank. Question: Main Line Sewer My main sewer line is clogged. How much product do I use? Answer: This drain opener is not designed to unclog sewer lines. You should contact a professional plumber to clear a main line clog. He will use an auger or a stronger chemical product such as our Cyclone Main Line Cleaner to unclog your sewer line. Question: Stainless Steel Sink Is your product safe on stainless steel sinks? Answer: In some cases our drain opener is safe but due to the fact that there are several different grades of stainless steel sinks on the market we recommend that you protect the surface of your sink and strainer with a generous layer of Vaseline petrole- um jelly to keep our product from coming in contact with it's surface. In the event that our drain opener does discolor the stainless steel finish you can use a 3M pad and scour the sink to remove the stain. It will take quite a bit of work to remove the stain, but it will clean up. Other Hints: After coating the stainless steel sink and strainer with Vaseline petroleum jelly you may want to take an old water bottle or plastic soda bottle, cut the bottom off and turn it upside down to create a disposable funnel that you can stick in the drain and pour the drain opener through. This will establish an additional barrier to help keep our product from coming in contact with your stainless steel sink. Our product is safe on all chemical resistant surfaces. Unfortunately, all surfaces are not chemical resistant and will react in different ways. The precautions that you take before using our product will prevent most of the potential damage that could arise with the use of this or any other acid-based drain opener. ■ FLOWEASY INSTANTLY DISSOLVES: HAIR, GREASE, SLUDGE, COTTON, SOAP, PAPER – COMPARISON CHART ANY ORGANIC MATERIAL! • Toxicological Profile for Hydrogen Sulfide and Carbonyl Sulfide
HYDROGEN SULFIDE AND CARBONYL SULFIDE 149 6. POTENTIAL FOR HUMAN EXPOSURE 6.1 OVERVIEW Hydrogen sulfide has been found in at least 34 of the 1,832 waste sites that have been proposed for inclusion on the EPA National Priorities List (NPL) and carbonyl sulfide was detected in at least 4 of the 1,832 waste sites (ATSDR 2015). However, the number of sites evaluated for these substances is not known and hydrogen sulfide and carbonyl sulfide are ubiquitous in the atmosphere. The frequency of these sites can be seen in Figures 6-1 and 6-2. Carbonyl sulfide and hydrogen sulfide are principal components in the natural sulfur cycle. Bacteria, fungi, and actinomycetes (a fungus-like bacteria) release hydrogen sulfide during the decomposition of 2- sulfur containing proteins and by the direct reduction of sulfate (SO4 ). Hydrogen sulfide is also emitted from volcanoes, stagnant or polluted waters, and manure or coal pits with low oxygen content (Aneja 1990; Khalil and Ramussen 1984). The majority of carbonyl sulfide that enters the environment is released to air and it is very abundant in the troposphere (Conrad and Meuser 2000; EPA 1994c, 1994d; Meinrat et al. 1992; Simmons et al. 2012; Stimler et al. 2010). It enters the atmosphere from both natural and anthropogenic sources (EPA 1994c, 1994d; Meinrat et al. 1992; Stimler et al. 2010). Carbonyl sulfide is released from wetlands, salt marshes, soil, oceans, deciduous and coniferous trees, and volcanic gases (Blake et al. 2004; EPA 1994c, 1994d; Meinrat et al. 1992; Rasmussen et al. 1982a, 1982b; Stimler et al.

  • 10 Things You Don't Know About Home Sewer Explosions
10 Things You Don’t Know about Home Sewer Explosions and Home Contamination Reduce the likelihood of sewer backup in your home More than 500,000 sewer backups occur each year in the United States. Sewers normally back up through the lowest plumbing fixture in your home. According to the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS), 68% of all drain system sewer backup claims started in the basement and claims occurring in finished basements are 65% more severe than in unfinished basements. Even if you are adeQuately protected financially through your insurance coverage, it’s worth the time and investment to prevent the inconvenience and health hazard from a major sewer backup. Depending on the severity of the loss, your family may need to live elsewhere while your home is restored to a habitable condition. Nationwide Private Client Risk Solutions recommends the following steps to help prevent sewer or drain backups: • Have your home’s sewer lateral line periodically inspected for buildup, cracks, and invading tree roots. If you have a cast-iron or clay lateral pipe, you may want to have a PVC pipe installed to reduce the risk of tree root problems. Homeowners, not your local municipality, are responsible for maintaining the sewer lateral lines. • Don’t pour grease down your kitchen sink. It can congeal, cling to your pipes and cause serious damage and blockage. • Compost or throw away larger food items rather than grinding them in the food waste disposer. • Don’t flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilet, even if the product packaging suggests that it is flushable.

These drains have to be properly cleaned and maintained to prevent vehicles from hydroplaning, eliminate flooding and avoid premature roadway failure. ODOT’s current methods for cleaning/maintaining trench and slotted drains take a lot of time and are expensive. This research report documents the current methods that ODOT utilizes for cleaning trench and slotted drains and recommends alternative cleaning methods that can improve safety, production rate and cost effectiveness. Currently, ODOT cleans trench drains manually or using a Sewer Cleaner.

To prevent complete stoppage, let HOT water run to warm lines. Add one cup of Thrift directly into drain opening. Let hot water run until all chemical is dissolved (use approximately 2 cups of hot water to a cup of Thrift). Let stand one minute then flush with HOT water. To keep drains working properly, add 1/2 to 1 cup of Thrift once a month. If drain is completely stopped up, use a cable to open drain to allow water to flow then add Thrift as directed above, to ensure a proper working drain. GREASE TRAPS: A regular treatment of 2 lbs. of Thrift for each 100 gallons of capacity will greatly reduce the costly pumping and cleaning of your grease trap by keeping the grease and suspended solids in a liquid form, allowing your grease trap to function properly. Thrift may be applied at any drain leading to grease trap. Pour in dry and follow with enough HOT water to dissolve all chemical. Allow Thrift to stand in grease traps as long as possible, overnight for maximum results.
