Confirmation: 6pm Saturday June 18th 2016: The Sacrament of Confirmation will be conferred by Bishop Mark on seven of our young people at the 6pm (sung) Mass on Saturday June 18th. They are Magda Gaik, Josie Lamon, Georgina Ward, Weanne Calunod, Dominika Staroscik, Wiktoria Sionko, and Mikolaj Januszewski. Please remember them in your prayers. Father Darline would like as many parishioners as possible to support this ceremony, the first confirmation in the parish for six years. Afterwards there will be refreshments in the church grounds (or the hall) for those concerned, and others who wish to come. Second Collection: June 18th/19th: There will be a second collection after the mass in support of “Day for Life”. Women's Refuge: For the next month starting next weekend there will be a labelled box in the porch for items needed for the local women's refuge. We don't want money, what we need are donations of items of women, babies and children's clothing; toys; toilet articles e.g. toothpaste and toothbrushes for adults and children, soap, flannels etc; towels. Some women and children arriving at the refuge fleeing from abusive relationships have only what they stand up in, so your help in this matter will be greatly appreciated. The Women's Refuge is the charity that both the National and Branch of the Catholic Women's League are supporting for this year. The next Okehampton meeting of CWL is Friday 24th June in the Hall at 10.30 am new members and visitors welcome. MISSIO Mission Mass: The annual regional APF-Mill Hill Mission Mass will be held at Plymouth Cathedral on Saturday 25th June. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 3pm. The Mass is a thanksgiving to all involved in supporting Missio’s work, such as Red Box holders. Everyone welcome. Refreshments afterwards. See poster in Church porch.
