Belmont 0-3 • Under Coach Hall, the Yellow Jackets are 66-19 overall versus Georgia Southern. BYU 1-1 • Georgia Tech has won five straight over the Eagles heading into Tuesday night’s Clemson 1-2 contest, including a 16-inning game last year in Statesboro on Feb. 24, 2016. Duke 0-4 Georgia 1-2 MARATHON GAME • The meeting between the two teams last year in Statesboro, Ga. proved to be an historic Georgia Southern 2-1 one, as it ranks as the longest game in Tech’s history. Georgia State 2-0 • The game went 16 innings and lasted over three hours before Brandon Gold hit a game- Illinois-Chicago 2-2 winning three-run home run in the top of the 16th inning to give the Jackets the 6-5 win. Kennesaw State 1-2 Louisville 3-0 ROAD TRIP Marshall 1-2 • The non-conference game on Tuesday night versus Georgia Southern will be the first road game of the young season for the Yellow Jackets who opened up the year with the Mercer 3-0 Atlanta Challenge on Feb. 17-19 at Russ Chandler Stadium. Miami 2-1 • Last season, the Yellow Jackets were just 11-10 on the season in true road contests, North Carolina 3-0 however, one of those wins was a 6-5 16-inning win at Georgia Southern in February. Notre Dame 1-3 Oklahoma 2-1 FRESH FACES MAKING A SPLASH Pittsburgh 3-1 • A number of freshmen made their debuts opening weekend for the Yellow Jackets in the Atlanta Challenge in Austin Wilhite, Chase Murray, Xzavion Curry, Kyle McCann, Nick Virginia 3-0 Wilhite, Brenton Sanders, Parker McCoy, Paxton Rigby and Jay Shadday. Virginia Tech 3-0 • Making the biggest splash of the newcomers in opening weekend was the trio of Austin Wake Forest 1-3 Wilhite, Murray and Curry. Western Michigan 0-3 • Austin Wilhite leads the team with six hits and an average of .667 through the first three Youngstown State 0-3 games. He also has a team-high .667 slugging percentage and .727 on-base percentage, and has the lone stolen base for the Jackets thus far this season. * Games Through Feb. 19 • Chase Murray, who like Wilhite started all three games for Tech in the opening weekend of play, went 5-for-11 (.455) and scored three runs for the Jackets.

The watch list will be narrowed down to the semifinalists, whom will be announced May 20, 2021. Ballots will be sent to the national voting committee at the end of May for a vote to determine the three finalists. The finalists will be announced June 7, 2021. A final vote among the national committee will occur during the College World Series. All finalists will be brought to Wichita and the winner will be announced at the 23rd Annual Greater Wichita Sports Banquet on July 1, 2021.
