Prez Paul called the meeting to order and asked Bob Freelen to lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance.

The first order of business was to induct Brad Mitchell (even though his red badge has not arrived yet) as the newest member of our Club!!! Congratulations, Brad!!!

➢ Jim Westfall is passing a sign-up sheet for at Big John’s for our Recruiting Table April 16 - 18.

➢ Richard Norgrove reminded us that St Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, so be sure to collect those pledges for our Green Hair Day Parade!!!

➢ Phil Luks reminded us that our Annual Easter Eggs Scramble is coming up on Saturday, April 11th.

RECOGNITION & HAPPY DOLLARS

❖ Bob Freelen informed us that the Civil Grand Jury needs volunteers

❖ John Avakian took care of his twin granddaughters and donated $20 to the Club.

❖ Al Loebel regaled us with a story about his Star Player granddaughter, who broke several school records, and donated $50 to Polio Plus.

❖ Dick Bertapelle attended PETS (President Elect Training) in San Jose and donated $50 to the Club.

PROGRAM

Today’s speaker was John Lambert, whose topic was “Mentorship, why it Matters.” He started out by defining mentorship: “Mentorship is a personal developmental relationship in which a more experienced or knowledgeable person helps guide a less experienced or knowledgeable person.” Some attributes of mentorship are as follows:

* Treat others like they are a “10.” * Provide Inspiring Messages. * Be Principled. * Equip Others * Use Humor as a Tool. * Don’t Be Negative. * One Size Doesn’t Fit Everyone. * Possess Uncommonly Positive Attitudes. * Catch People Doing Something Right. * Work on Your Communication Skills. * Be Careful to Speak the Same Language.

RAFFLE

Joe DiSalvo won today’s raffle of a whopping $96 but did not draw the winning marble. However, he won a nice bottle of White Wine Blend.

NEXT WEEK: Field Trip to the Police Station hosted by Kevin Burke. We will meet at Tayman, as usual, have lunch with a short meeting, then leave and reconvene at the Police Station for Kevin Burke’s tour.
