’s Ryanverse/ Jump Version .1: Slowly But Shirley Being Completed

Intro:

Welcome, Jumper, to a world much like your own. The states and history all seem to match up for the most part until the middle of the 20th century. Then things started to get interesting. Different actors than our history have occupied positions of power, and the Great Game has reached a peak unheard of across the globe. It is with this background that great dramas are played, thrilling tales of and conspiracy across the world. Heroism, villainy, and profiteering are even more evident than in history "as it was". But that is not the time that we lay our eyes on (at least if you choose it).

Instead, we look to the nearer past. The collapse of the Soviet Union and the introduction of the free market has led to an explosion of terrorist organizations across the globe. Money, weapons, and expertise are all available and offered at excellent rates to those who have the cash. And this opportunity is being to good use. Dozens of attacks, kidnaps, and assassinations occur across the globe each year and are only increasing in frequency and ambition. This is compounded by the vacuum left in the intelligence community from the fall of the Berlin Wall; dedicated groups of conspirators make their plans and pull the strings, waiting until the time is right to make their true intentions known. The dangers of this new world are only growing in size and already several devastating attacks have been launched on the Western powers, including a nuclear detonation on US soil and several close calls with another world war. To many it looks as if the fall of Communism brought something far worse, a cancer that will slowly consume the world in fire.

There is hope, however. Good men and women in every nation fight for their country and for the future. Whether in the front lines, support, the clandestine services, or even freedom fighters, all work to bring order to a chaotic world. They have seen the coming battles and realized it is time for a united front to combat terror wherever it may threaten to rear its head. Staffed by the elite of nations, equipped with the cutting edge, and driven as only a crusader for mankind can be, this organization is the first-line of defense. Operating in the dark, these soldiers risk their lives for a public that will likely never know their faces. To those they save, they are like guardian angels; to those who seek to spread fear, they are almost inhuman bringers of death. Their name is RAINBOW.

Rest assured Jumper that no matter what path you choose the fate of many, possibly even the world itself, hangs in the balance. Watch the flames you set carefully, lest you burn it all to ash.

Backgrounds: You receive memories for each life except for Drop In. Changing either gender or age is 50CP each. If taking the Gauntlet Scenario, Origin price is free.  Drop In: Age is 1d8+22 You awaken, head slightly woozy, in a small flop bed in a crappy apartment. The rent is paid through the end of the week, and all you have to even contemplate how you got there is a note in handwriting on the table. "The difference between fiction and reality? Fiction has to make sense." o Pros:  No one knows your name, identity, or even what you look like.  Free crappy apartment for a week.  And hey, free grinder (a sub/hoagie of your choice but meatball is best). o Cons:  Having no identity, name, or friends can be problematic.  What the hell is with that note?

 RAINBOW (100): Age is 1d8+26 As a young person, you always felt the call of duty. Maybe its patriotism, belief in common good, the adrenaline rush, or you just enjoy resolving conflicts with your fellow man via application of direct force. Regardless, it found you either as a member of the armed forces or as a tactical police officer. Quickly you proved your credentials needed to become a non-commissioned officer, becoming not only an excellent soldier but a leader. After many successful operations, you are one day approached by an officer who says your talents can be put to far better use. You spent over the better part of a year training, drilling, and getting pushed by the variety of instructors. Not yelled at like a boot; everyone knows what the profession is, pushing themselves and others to the peak of capacity. And then the day comes. "Congrats soldier, you are now a part of RAINBOW." o Pros:  You are the best of the best, an investment that your superiors have every intent on keeping.  Go to exotic locales, meet new people, kill the bad guys. All in a day's work.  You're doing a job that needs to be done. Even if you don't get accolades, plenty of people appreciate your risk.  You don't get much closer than brothers-in-arms, and RAINBOW has your back. Especially Clark. o Cons:  Risking your life every day, be it training or actual ops. It can be stressful.  Your identity is a risk. You need to keep it under wraps or else someone will use it against you or the team.  You are effectively a faceless counterterrorist for the world. No chance of fame or fortune while keeping RAINBOW safe.  Choice are hard, and you get hard choices. Sometimes things will get out of hand and you will have to choose between a rock and a hard place.

 Intelligence Analyst (100): Age is 1d8+26 Wars may be fought on the battlefield, but they are won with knowledge. You've always been good at critical thinking and trend prediction, talents that landed you a spot in a top university, an excellent senior thesis and an internship at a renowned brokerage firm or similar private company. Highly educated and intelligent, you've quickly become one of the top employees and impressed more than a few upper-managers. This led to the events that got you a lunch meeting with the VP's close college friend who just happens to be a midlevel employee at one of the Alphabet Soup agencies. Now you are a fresh young buck in the intelligence community looking to make his mark.

Who knows, do well in your first few months and you could find yourself receiving a manila envelope containing a plane ticket to Hereford, England, and a letter congratulating you on your acceptance as an analyst for Director Clark. o Pros:  You are an educated and smart cookie, with (likely) an Ivy League undergraduate and a masters or doctorate available. Analysis and information correlation is your bread and butter, and in the private sector you could be very rich (even in the public, if so inclined).  Despite public perceptions and the actions of a certain former turned academic turned spook, you aren't expected to be a field agent. Decent working hours, moderate traffic, and coffee are the norm for your 9 to 5 job.  The information you have access to, even with a low level clearance, is enough to give you years of material with which to data-mine. Depending on how you implement it this information could mean as little as a change in bureaucratic regulation to completely altering the sociopolitical status of the globe. If you are less morally inclined, you can get very wealthy off of this. o Cons:  Doing analyst work can be somewhat exciting, but it is hardly the same as being a Rainbow operative. The ennui can get to you after a while.  You may still get called to go out into the field, usually as undercover work or intelligence gathering. It will be dangerous and disconcerting, but you may be the only person able to do it.  Loose lips sink ships, and anyone in the intel community knows you need to keep the ship tight. Expect to be subject to yearly polygraphs, interviews, and discrete surveillance if you aren't' completely trustworthy. And God help you if they catch you trying to sell state secrets.

 Black Operations Veteran (200): Age 1d8+38 It's a dark world out there, and sometimes you need a guy willing to get his hands dirty to do the right thing. The military relies on order and authority to function but you were always too much of a maverick, willing to buck shackles. Not much use as a regular grunt, they threw you to the special operations to get you either exhausted enough to take orders, wash out, or die. Instead, you've survived and thrived in the heart of darkness, becoming the tip of the spear for many covert operations (official or otherwise). Later as a deniable government contractor, taking out threats to national security whatever the means. After so many years, however, you are not as young as you used to be and your handlers are making sounds about putting you out to pasture.

Maybe you'll hang up the holsters and become an advisor. You've heard rumors in the community of a new international counterterrorism group that may be in need of some guidance from old dogs. Or maybe, after so many years of spilling blood for your country, you've started to enjoy it too much to retire… o Pros  Spooky, intimidating guy/gal who could easily kill most people at any given time.  Endowed with a particular set of skills that help you "persuade" individuals to "volunteer" any "information" (i.e. you know what to do with a car battery and some clamps to make someone sing).  Scarily competent. You don’t last long in this line of business without being very, very prepared. Even though you (probably) lack a formal higher education, your expertise in matters of national/international security and espionage would land you a spot in any university faculty. If it wasn’t all classified.  Years in the service of your nation have left you with quite a few contacts within and without the government, willing to give you any help official or unofficial. If you put your mind to it, you can easily become a upper management type with a few phone calls. Hell, you'd be better than in the field.  Probably look and sound like a grizzled old tough (optionally may look and sound like for no cost, even if you are female/tentacle-thing. Yes, it will be weird). o Cons  Getting too old for this shit, you grumpy ol' timer.  You've had to go to tough places and make tough decisions; expect nightmares and possibly some political enemies in your nation's government.  No matter how warm and friendly you might be, the eyes show the coldness in your soul. Getting close to people is difficult, and perceptive folks mark you as the guy who carries a wallet with "Badass Motherfucker" on it. Law enforcement will be suspicious and the enemy will target you first. You can reduce this intensity over time in the jump.  You gave it all for your country: name, face, history, life. Knowingly or not, you chose to embrace the darkness and it bothers you. No family (as of now) and few friends, nothing too close.  Unless you sever all your ties with the intelligence community of your nation, you WILL be asked to come back for One Last Job or more. And turning them down can cause problems.

 Tango (0): Age is 1d8+20 History is filled with wronged groups, and you are lucky enough to be a member. It doesn't matter what happened; racism, classism, perhaps even as far back as Cain and Abel. Oppression is oppression, and you are done taking it sitting down. You have spent many years fighting for your cause, using whatever means are necessary to ensure the revolution comes. But now, times have changed. The Soviet Union is gone, and most likely with it any unofficial government support the cause may have received. But things are not so bleak, as the collapse of the economy has flooded the market with weapons and intelligence. Just the stuff you need to finally show the world that the People will not be stopped! o Pros:  Charismatic leader of the oppressed. You are very good at debating and persuading in the defense of your cause, making potential recruits hang on to your every word.  Depending on what cause you associate yourself with, you may get support from other nations or NGOs, maybe even other terrorist groups.  Your name is known within the social circles of rebels and terrorists as a solid, dependable comrade. Working together with other groups (except for ideological rivals) is easier and less likely to go tits up so long as you work towards a common goal.  If you continue to use violence, people will begin to fear and respect you more. If you choose a more peaceful path, you will find many people placing more value in your words thanks to the colorful background you have. o Cons:  You were born into a lower-class situation in your nation, meaning money was tight even in good times. This has left you with a chip on your shoulder and more than a few bad memories from childhood.  The government of your nation is well aware of your… allegiances. They are most likely not friendly to your cause and will do whatever they can to get rid of you, especially if they are further along the authoritative spectrum. Watch your back.  Other nations view you as either an extremist or tool in the Great Game. If you stay a terrorist, you will be hounded by all law abiding nations (unless it benefits them) and INTERPOL. Be ready to plead your case, fight, or take orders if you want to make a difference.  Your cause can be very decisive within a population. You need to watch out to government sympathizers, spies, rivals, and other enemies of The Cause. You might even begin to question if it is all worth it…  Even if you try to go legit, you will face much suspicion and distrust from the world. Many will doubt the tenacity of your word or not even care. Your former comrades and allies may see this as betrayal, act accordingly.

Starting Nation and Timeline:  If you purchased a background, you may freely choose what your national origin is. Default is United States.  If you are Drop In, you roll.  If you are a Tango, then you may choose what nation and cause you represent (default is Socialist/Communist revolutionary).  If you desire, you can change your roll for 50CP. 1. United States 2. United Kingdom 3. France 4. Spain 5. Israel 6. Brazil 7. Russia 8. Free Pick

Starting Time:  Unless otherwise noted each timeline is a blend of the games, books, and movies for maximum fun. Roll or pay 50CP to select. 1. Rainbow Six, 2. Rainbow Six, Rogue Spear 3. Rainbow Six 3 4. Rainbow Six Lockdown 5. Rainbow Six Vegas 6. Rainbow Six Siege

7. Time Warp: Start in Red Storm Rising, just about to kick off WW3. 8. Free Choice: Choose any listed here, the books, or the games. Even Patriots.

Perks:  Drop In 100  Drop In 100

 Tactical Entry (200 CP, Discount Drop-In): When you need to get in somewhere, most people tend to look towards doors and windows. Too easy. Rappelling, coordinated demolition, wirecutting, fast rope, etc. If it is used for breaching of buildings or inserting into areas of operation, you excel at it.

 Drop In 300:

 Alpha/Bravo/Charlie/Delta Go! (400 CP, Discount Drop In): Your troops are masters of codes and phrases, developing uncanny intuition and almost superhuman traits. Whenever you execute a coordinated tactical takedown of a room, each member of your force gets 10 seconds of slow- motion action to make their moves. This will make executing breach-and-clear much easier.

 Drop In 500:

 "You're the Best of the Best, Remember That." (100 CP, Free and upgraded for RAINBOW): By purchasing this training, you've got at least 5 years as a frontline soldier in your history and all the training that comes with it. The net result for these origins is that you are a better combat soldier, a better commander, and have a better tactical understanding of the battlefield like a veteran. Specific bonuses: o Drop Ins get the training implanted, so it's far easier to recall then memories. o Intelligence Analysts received it as supplementary education for field oriented work, meaning you are extremely effective at preforming searches and analysis on the spot. o Black Ops receive battalion level command skills, so in the event you need to gain control over a large group of soldiers you know exactly what to do. o Tangos receive the finest in guerrilla warfare training that rogue states can provide.

As a RAINBOW operative, however, you benefit far more. Instead of 5 years you receive 15 years' experience as a top soldier. From whatever nation you hail, you have also spent at least 10 years of it attached to either their special forces teams or special police units. From this training alone, you are within the top 10% of soldiers around the world. In addition, you have an innate understanding of small unit tactics that allows for you to train even novices and get good results within several months with high-intensity work. While it does not guarantee that individuals can survive such tough standards without dropping out, you can expect anyone who makes it as capable as most professional soldiers with a particular emphasis on urban and close quarters combat.

 RAINBOW 100:

 "Tango Down" (200 CP, Discount RAINBOW): To be a member of RAINBOW you need to be as quick as a gunslinger, as precise as a sniper, and as cold as Death itself. When engaged in a controlled tactical operation on the ground, you are instantly turned into the pinnacle of a professional counter-terrorism. Each movement is planned and carefully executed, nothing is done without forethought. Short-term situational awareness and analysis goes through the roof.

 "By Being a Sneaky Bastard" (300 CP, Free and Upgraded for Rainbow): As much fun as going in guns blazing is, that is a surefire way to get hostages killed. And the team usually frowns on that. What RAINBOW needs is people with experience in applied covert tactics to combat situations. For that, you are the obvious choice. Backgrounds other then RAINBOW get 5 years' worth of training in the more subdued arts of the military, with special emphasis on evasion and surveillance. By the time you are through here, you are going to be well equipped for cloak and dagger.

RAINBOW operatives are far better than that. Not only do you have the best in stealth training available to the military, you also specialized as a sharpshooter. You could sneak into a field of enemies, eat a quarter-pounder with cheese, reposition way too close, shoot an HVT from , and exfill without ever getting stopped. Works best in areas with lots of cover (Jungle, brush, urban areas).

 "This One's Important, Folks. I'm Counting On You." (600 CP, Discount RAINBOW): The more people you have relying on you, the stronger your individual willpower and thus power is. Goes up to 1/4th increase in overall power for a global effort, for the duration of your operation.

 One Bullet Away (400 CP, Discount RAINBOW): Bullets fall short, grenades may tick an extra second, the guard may look the other way at the right moment. These lucky strikes are make the skills worth honing, and ensure that even in dire straits there is always a roll of the dice.

 Knowledge is Power (100 CP, Free and Upgraded for Intelligence Analyst): Education and learning are key elements towards the defense of freedom (or for personal power). You attended a very prestigious undergraduate university, choosing a degree related to your major. Not only that, but each background gets an individual bonus. o Drop Ins: Sorry, no bonus recent transplants. Don't worry, you didn't miss out on much.

o RAINBOW: You either went to college before the military or received your degree while there. If you so desire, you can choose to have gone through a service academy and been commissioned as an office. Your rank will be that of a Captain of the land force or similar ranking, and you can expect all sorts of opportunities for advancement in the future, perhaps even going to a war college. You may be a little green, but you made it through the academy and that counts for a lot.

Alternatively, you can also choose to remain a non-commissioned officer for several more years. While you will only be registered as a 2nd Lt, your status as a Mustang officer means that you got lots of respect for your colorful background and can get away with bending the rules more often than not, although wary superiors might keep you on a short leash because of it.

o Black Ops: You were probably too busy dodging bullets in country to think about higher education. And to be frank, you don't really have all the time or patience to go through the traditional brick and mortar school. Your superiors agree on that point and instead will be quite happy to get you access to some of the nations' top schools for advance degrees related to national security. You may either have a doctorate in a traditional field or you can start with several Master Degrees related to protecting the nation, each of these from a highly competitive and restricted. If you choose the doctorate, then you can expect people to treat you as an academic professional and be keenly interested in any unorthodox research you may engage in. If you choose the Masters Degrees, what you lack in theoretical background you make up for with applications, leaving you fast tracked to either a command or advisory capacity and perhaps even more if you start working on a dissertation in your spare time.

It worked for Ding and Clark.

o Tango: The success of any revolutionary organization is dependent on the vanguard that leads it. You weren't exactly a well-off child, but your family scrapped enough by to get you the opportunity to attend a prestigious school on scholarship. While you never really fit in with the upper crust, you did carve out quite a niche in the radical crowd. Your political treatises on oppression and society have turned more than a few heads within the academic circles, if only for their insightful (and inciting) condemnations. You'll find the airs of academia make it easier for you to look fairly legitimate in the eyes of international law, assuming you don't get into too much trouble, and always can find a fellow revolutionary connection in colleges. Maybe they know a guy who knows a guy… 

 Shadow Recruit (100 CP, Free Analyst): Behind those spectacled, accountant-like eyes lies the mind of a spymaster. You are familiar and proficient at all manner of tradecraft, though you excel at patching together paperwork into comprehensive analysis.

 "Will You Take a Company Check?" (200 CP, Discount Analyst): The one thing every businessman loves about working with the government is at least the check clear. With this so long as you are utilizing funds or assets for the advancement of a public-benefit organization you are a part of, be it government or non-profit, you will be able to get the best deals available so long as the checks clear. This includes discretion about clients, so even if your relationship cools they won't volunteer information to any inquiring parties (within reason). One less loose end to worry about.

 "I Don't Have An Appointment" (300CP, Discount Analyst): You would be surprise how much associating with certain organizations can get you a foot in the door. As your position within a hierarchy rises, so too does your ability to get cordial meetings with influential people. Even when dealing with people of considerably more power than yourself (normative or situational), they will accord you similar consideration as they would an equal so long as you offer some sort of bargain. While this won't let an intern meet with the Prince of Wales, it will be plausible for a Deputy Director of the CIA to drop in unannounced and be treated as a complete guest even if they are at war.

(400 CP, Discount Analyst): The people of your nation have nothing more than the utmost faith in you. You will find that your actions while working towards the greater benefit of your chosen organization, agency, nation, or population are given far more leeway. So long as you are working towards a selfless goal that benefits your Average Joe constituents, any usage of resources or influence becomes easier. You will find a general 10-25% reduction in your expenses and effort to do so, as well as an increase in your willpower and energy as long as you are working towards that goal. Be warned that acting against the interest of your public, even if not discovered, will greatly diminish the ability until you return to the task at hand. Being caught by the public doing something opposite to their interest will decimate the trust they have in you, removing the ability until the people of the nation are convinced by your intentions (which could take years, months at minimum, to regain so keep that in mind).

 "A Chip In the Big Game" (600 CP, Discount Analyst): You find that secrets and information come quite easily and frequently to you. Through opportunity or fate, you will find juicy intelligence tidbits every so often from a variety of sources. If you should dedicate yourself towards acquriing it, you will find that you are a espionage conductor.

 Death, Living in the Mind of a Man (100 CP, Free Black Ops): You aren't a soldier. You aren't a warrior. You're a killer. That is what the government crafted you into, and you excel at it.

 Black Ops 100 Freebie

 "Be Careful Out There" (200 CP, Discount Black Ops): You know that a team is only as good as the people watching their backs. And your people know it, too. Whenever you are in a supervisory or command capacity, you find that people working under you are more competent and able then normal. This manifests best in small team commands, where up to 16 individuals will experience about a 1/4th increase in their abilities. This means they are stronger, faster, and diligent then even normal RAINBOW operatives. After 16, it spreads out until it is just a tiny boost to all those who you are in direct command of. Loses effectiveness if teams are separated to individuals or incapacitated (or dead), or you lose contact with them.

 "Let's Get Back in One Piece" (300 CP, Discount Black Ops): Every team member is not only family, but a vital investment in the fight to protect the free world. As such, you need every single one of your team members to do so. Whenever a team is heading into danger with you as their leader, they will be far more safe when out in the field, whether you are personally leading them or in command capacity. Team members catch last minute reflections of a rifle in the mirror, grenades can be dudes, and sometimes bullets will impact in the right place to keep them from bleeding out. Applies widely over any operation you personally oversee, though effectiveness is limited beyond 16 people. Incautious or unlucky subordinates can impact the effectiveness of this, and it will only get you so many breaks before Lady Luck decides to give you snake eyes. Overreliance on luck gets people killed, but an effective Black Ops vet has just enough of it.

 "No Fancy Stuff" (400 CP, Discount Black Ops): Despite your guilty pleasure of James Bond films, you've been around the block long enough to know that the simplest plan is often the superior one. People today rely on fancy technology and tactics that, while working, are cost-ineffective. Whenever you are engaged in operations, you can calculated with a large degree of accuracy (90-99%) what the most effective plan is going to be and execute it with just as much impact as another operation. Not only does this save funds for a rainy day, but the brass likes it.

 Jumper Six (600 CP, Discount Black Ops): The primal call of your blood filled youth is nothing compared to the pure chaos that is the game of counter-terrorism. It takes a certain kind of individual to organize, coordinate, and execute a rescue operation within little more than a few hours' notice. To keep track of all the information, run data, analyze risks, and make the calls. This requires someone who has mastered all levels of thinking, from the short term tactical to the grand strategy that lies behind the world's stage. Not only are you a tactician beyond compare for military matters, but you also have a special situation control ability that manifests during crises. In this state, you have access to a mental construction of an operation to run simulations of various tactical approaches. Running through a dozen permutations would take but a few seconds, being about as close to precognition as you can get.

 Scion of Che (100 CP, Free Tango): You are well versed in your political ideology, political science, and the various other branches of study that come along with it. This gives you excellent cred with your own revolutionary group, and ensures that you can discuss matters of oppression with other similarly minded folks. Heck, you are knowledgable enough that you can write quite a few books that could become favorable in college campuses. Doesn’t guarantee you are a good writer.

You may also choose a certain look or dressing style that is you. Camo and beret are base choices, cigars optional but highly encouraged. Might as well go for broke.

 Teeth of the Tiger (100 CP, Free Tango):

 Welcome to the Jungle (200 CP, Discount Tango): After spending two months exploring a locale, you will find yourself able to navigate it like a native, quickly picking up all manner of knowledge about the area.

 The Vanguard (300 CP, Discount Tango): You are well versed in inciting populations against the oppressors, and teaching them your doctrines.

 Tango 400

 Jumper the Jackal (600 CP, Discount Tango, Cannot take with "You May Say I'm A Dreamer" ): Some men want money, some power, some change. Some just want to watch the world burn. Whatever the reason, you are now The Revolutionary archetype. A master of forceful systemic change, you find yourself equally at home in The Jungle (ecological or figurative) and all other sorts of environments. Any military or police force aligned against you will discover to their chagrin that the populace is far more susceptible to radicalization.

 You May Say I'm A Dreamer (600 CP, Discount Tango, Cannot take with Jumper the Jackal): The life of violence you have led has proven the old adage timeless; the road to hell is paved with good intentions. You understand that a revolution led only by combat doesn't build the world you want, it only tears down everything around it. In order to build a better one, someone needs to show people that violence need not be the answer. Whenever you discuss and encourage non-violent demonstrations, the people will be far more likely to join up. Fellow revolutionaries will find your wisdom compelling, even if they are certain that the only way forward is in blood, allowing you to bring their devotion to a more constructive venue. Average citizens will be pliable to arguments; many will become followers with some modicum of effort. Even reactionary members of society and the movement will be hard pressed to find fault with your peaceful tactics. Insane fanatics and the singular minded, be they part of the establishment or your own group, are not affected and the primary threat against you.

This translates beyond your persuasive abilities. Individuals working towards your goal will find themselves invigorated and inspired, allowing them to work beyond their normal capacity. While a crappy artist won't become Picasso, they can make images that tell people about your wide- spread. If you begin a campaign of violence, the effects of this perk are greatly reduced depending on how you utilize it. If used with scalpel precision, it can be a good compliment with only minor dilution of this perk’s powers.

Items:  The Collected Works (50 CP, Free Drop In): All of Tom Clancy's works collected in one tome. Also produces books of your adventures, which if published in different worlds is guaranteed to invent at least one intriguing spin-off by a 3rd party. So you can get you very own “Anon Jumper’s Splinter Ghost Endwar”. It will be a pretty dope, if not entirely accurate, spinoff of your adventures.

 Service Record (100 CP, Discount Drop In): Sometimes it can be a hassle going to new workplaces (or universes) and having to reestablish your credentials as a professional. Well no longer. This gives you a manila folder that contains documents about you various exploits in states or organizations. If you have a Background, records will be easily accessible and transfer as you go. While certain details will be left out, you will still receive kudos for actions you had taken in other places as if they occurred within your current one. Which they did, in a convoluted way. You'll have memories relating to these experiences. How much your fame and reputation are impacted is by the status of your background. If you are a grunt expect to end up as a non-com sooner, but an lieutenant would not get instantly promoted to Colonel.

If you are Drop In or want to show off, you can use your service record to boast of abilities. There will be evidence from rivals, After-Action Reports, video logs, etc. of all you have defeated. All sorts of interesting data from the past that allow you to analyze your opponent’s mindset as they faced you, and can educate you on shortcomings or weaknesses. Make sure you don't leave this lying around or else someone might get a little peak…

 Presidential Portrait (200 CP, Discount Drop In): You have a classical, professional portrait of yourself framed in very pleasant aged mahogany frame. By placing the portrait in your office (Oval or otherwise), you will find even the most stuck-up snob will deal with you as mostly an equal and consider you with respect. The effect is limited, and can be ignored by sufficiently strong willed or powerful individuals.

Should you wish to not have your own portrait, the default is one of Randolph Scott. This gives a large persuasion bonus for requests if you remind people they would do it for Randolph Scott, compelling them to remove any headwear and bend their heads in respect as an invisible choir cries "RAAANNNDDDOOOLPPHHH SSSCCCOOOOOTTTTTT!!!!". Can be used at any time, but is more effective the closer you are to the portrait. Seems to work regardless of persons' knowledge about Randolph Scott. Cool down of 24 hours.

 Analyst 50 CP

 Well-Thumbed, Signed Copy of Benjamin Graham's "The Intelligent Investor" (100CP, Intelligence Analyst): One of the primer guides to sound financial investment, purchasing the tome with points offers more than just a solid grounding in securities investiture. If you peruse the pages while considering an investment opportunity, you will find a scenario appears in the book very similar to the one you are in, giving the advice of a long-time financial planner that can be applied to your own situation. While this does not guarantee instant wealth and can still have a 1% change of being misguiding, it will mean that most of the time you make solid investments. In addition, the book is the complete collection of Graham's works and can absorb any other financial knowledge book, all you need to do is think about what book you wish to look at. If given a book with misleading or faulty knowledge, will appear marked with biting commentary and corrections. May result in a resonance cascade if placed next to "Art of the Deal" or any works by Robert Kiyosaki.

Has a dedication inside: "To Jumper, Remember that the best investment is one in the future. Benjamin."

 Analyst Item 200

 (50 CP, Free for RAINBOW):

You therefore have access to some very special equipment, even stuff that is experimental. Choose a loadout from the game: your selection of armor, main firearm, sidearm, and two support slots. Buying this ensures your weapons remain in top shape out of the field and accept all sorts of customizations, though repairs for any mods will be limited within the scope of late 20th/early 21st century tech. You will also receive a load of base ammunition and damaged/used equipment for free in a week.

For an extra 100, you can also import any similar item types into your selection. This merges functionality of both to maximize your benefit.

 RAINBOW Emblem (200, Discount RAINBOW): You are given the original casting of the RAINBOW emblem, though you can alter it once to be your own symbol if you desire. Whenever this symbol is viewed by a member of the population you are responsible for, they will see it as representative of their own are less likely to choose violent outcomes to resolve their displeasure with the system. Instead of firebombing, members might decide to protest. This does not address their underlying issue and they may choose violence if it will get results, but only as a last resort. Only works for average members of your nation, not fanatics, and is more effective the smaller your claimed domain is (i.e. more effective if a single organization than representing a state like Teaxs, less if the United States, and even less if it is worldwide or beyond).

 KA-BAR (50CP, Free Black Ops): A well-held knife, designed for maximum usage in the field. Sharp as a razor always, but has a soothing effect when worked on with a wetstone (and intimidating). Perfectly balanced, if you wish to throw it; if not, there is also a nice modification in the hilt allowing you to store quite a bit inside it, up to a handful of items stored with no way for someone to find it without guidance. It seems to be very attached to you, and will usually find its way back if stolen or seized. If not, it will reappear in the warehouse 24 hours later.

 A Stash (100 CP, Free Black Ops): There is a (not so) surprising overlap in the motto of the Boy Scouts and wetwork communities: Be Prepared. While you may not be an Eagle Scout, you damn well took the lesson to heart. Every major city you go to seems to have at least one safehouse equipped with enough guns, ammo, and tools of the trade to bring a tear to any spook's eye and match your current needs. While this is excellent in a pinch, using this more than once a month seems to drastically reduce the supplies available. While you can end up arming a small militia with the first, you may only be able to pick up a lockpick and gun from the next.

 Portable Briefing and Analysis (PBA) (200 CP, Discount Black Ops): Sounds fancy, but it's a tablet computer. Some neat tricks, though. Changes it's sockets to accept inputs at all tech levels, as well as the ability to scan documents. This allows the computer to fulfill its primary function: the Mission Briefing. Upon confirmation of an operation and analysis, the PBA device will generate a briefing just like the ones used in the games. Complete with a cool operation name, English- accented female virtual assistant, and the opinions/commentary from Clark, Ding, your companions, and relevant professionals if you have their contact information. If you have relevant data available, the PBA can scan them to increase analysis accuracy. Comes complete with ports for compatibility at all tech levels.

You can make backup digital and hardcopies of briefings if you wish. While the virtual assistant is limited to being able to read out the briefings and other documents included, with the right technology you could probably add your own AI companion if desried. May void warranty.

Companion Options:  Import (50 CP each, 300 for 8): You can import some of your companions into a background of your choice, giving them 400 CP to spend on perks and items. Drawbacks are limited to 300 CP from several 100 CP drawbacks: Nasty Habit (addiction), A Soldier's Price (wounds), and Bleeding Heart (pacifism). For an extra, undiscounted 100 CP you can give them a total of 600 CP to spend.

 RAINBOW Operative (400 CP each) (Discount RAINBOW): Choose one of the Rainbow field operatives to take with you on your journeys, excluding Ding Chavez and Clark. They are the best of the best in the world, so you can count on them.

A list as reference, though you may wish to do more indepth analysis yourself. http://rainbowsix.wikia.com/wiki/Rainbow

 1st Lt. Michael D. "Beagle" Edwards, USAF (400 CP, Discount Drop-In): What the… how the hell did you get a guy from a completely different universe? Whatever, don't even tell me. A US meteorological officer stationed in Keflavík Air Base, Edwards had a front row seat to the invasion of Iceland by the Soviets. Evading the Russians, Edwards was able to establish an intelligence gathering and resistance force that was critical to the liberation of the island and end to the war. For valor in the face of overwhelming odds for a job he wasn't trained for, Edwards received the Navy Cross. It doesn't matter what the job is, Edwards will find a way to do it. You couldn't ask for a more capable man.

 Colonel Mikhail Semyonovich Filitov (400 CP) (Discount Black Ops): The personal aide to the Soviet Minister of Defense and a national war hero. Filitov had won three Hero of the Soviet Union medals over the course of his career, most notably at the Battle of Stalingrad. He is also a spy for the West. Recruited by GRU Colonel Oleg Penkovskiy, a British agent, he offered his services to the CIA after his wife and two sons died. The two sons died as a result of service in the Red Army, the youngest in a training accident, and the eldest during the Hungarian Uprising. As a result, Filitov began passing political, technical, and military intelligence for the CIA under the codename "CARDINAL". This operation continued for over thirty years until he was arrested, only to be rescued in an operational coup by that also forced the defection of hardline Soviet Chairman Gerasimov. He died several months after his debrief; Filitov was buried at Camp David, within twenty miles of the Antietam battlefield.

Filitov's companionship means ruin for those who oppose you. He earned his fame, not to mention at least one of his medals, fighting Germans while on fire. Even as a crippled old man, he's considered extremely tough and even scares the bodyguards of various Soviet officials. Not to mention the intervening years as a double agent, providing him with all manner of abilities political and espionage related. Coupled with a strong dislike for tyranny, Soviet in particular, and gratitude towards the CIA for rescuing him, makes it easy to see why any intelligence organization worth their salt would want him.

 Lt. Admiral Robert "Robby" Jackson (400 CP) (Discount Intelligence Analyst): Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Jackson joined the navy at a young age. Serving as a fighter pilot for many years, Robby suffered an accident while Lt. Commander and was stationed in Annapolis to recover. There he met and befriended Jack Ryan, with whom he would be as close as brothers. After working with Ryan and the Prince of Wales to defend their families from an IRA revenge attack, the two worked throughout the years until Jack became President and Robby an Admiral. After retiring from the armed forces, Jackson decided to run as president and proved to be the clear victor. While travelling in Mississippi on October 6, 2004, Jackson was assassinated by a member of the KKK and sent a nation into mourning.

By taking Jackson as a companion, you are gaining decades of experience in intelligence, naval warfare, and political maneuvering in a man who would give any advisor a run for their money and can be a dependable friend. However, Jackson has a strong moral compass and will only work to better the common good of all mankind, even if it goes against the short-term benefit of the United States.

 Dimitriy Popov (400 CP) (Discount Tango): Ex-KGB turned terrorist mercenary, Popov has been trying to make his slice of the pie ever since the Wall fell. Working as organizer for the Horizon Corporation's terrorist plans, Popov eventually discovers their plot to destroy mankind excluding a chosen few and defects to RAINBOW. Now, he has offered his services to you. All manner of tradecraft is acceptable to Popov, and there is little up to mass murder that he will refuse to do. But inside the cold Russian exterior lies a man exhausted by years of fighting for an ideology that proved fruitless. If you can convince him of another, possibly more worthy cause, then Dimitriy will follow you to the ends of the Earth.

 White Masks (400 CP) (Discount Tango): A group of four White Masks or other terrorist organization (or police/special ops), ready to do what is needed. Not entirely sentient, they are more like a group of aggressive bots than real companions. Entirely willing to follow you orders, they are equally at home on the offensive or defensive. Members are replaced if killed after a week, but lose any experience during that time. They can be customized to an extent, but their technology and skills always adapts to be the cutting edge of the world you are in. The skills of the four are as follows o Ambusher: Whether in the jungles of Brazil or of New York City, the Ambusher is always ready to use surprise effectively. Armed with a shotgun or assault rifle, he also can deploy portable shields as cover and use flashbangs. o Engineer: More then just a demolitions man, the Engineer is probably the most important of the team. Able to deploy spools of barbed wire for the defensive and C4 when it's time to be more aggressive. As the most strategic of the team, he can quite easily be given orders to carryout with far more effectiveness than the other Masks. o Bomber: A martyr for the cause, but one who knows the value of his life. Far more conservative than his normal brethren, the Bomber utilizes suicide bombing as a last resort. Rather, he will effectively deploy his shotgun or machine gun with some HE grenades to take out as many as possible, especially able to absorb damage due to his heavy armor. If needed be, he will gladly perform his main function at your command. o Roamer: Demonstrating the perils of listening to the B-52s, the Roamer is the swiftest of the team. Although lightly armored with a rifle or shotgun, he makes up for it with incredible speed and stealth. Coupled with his grenade belt, anyone trying to run away or get the drop on you is in for a nasty surprise.

Drawbacks:

As Always, overrides perks and other powers, and they are going to be with you for your duration. Take only up to 800 worth of CP from options 300 or less.

If you take any drawback above 300 CP, the limit is removed because you are going to be kind of screwed.

If you take the Gauntlet Scenario, the limit is also removed.

 The Fifth Freedom (+0): Why have a team when one man is so much more flexible. If you took Splinter Cell, then things can begin to look a bit familiar if you like….

Look, I'm not going to even try and figure out a way to bullshit this. There are quite a few metaphysical conundrums such a merge brings up and I don't really want to waste brainpower trying to justify it for $3 an hour. Just assume that your friendly local Eldritch Benefactor and/or Jump-chan-sama-obama-etc. makes it work.

If you want to take it, take it.

Or, if you have yet to take Splinter Cell, then you get a mirrored experience. Like Bizzaro Jumpchain (patent pending) or something.

 Ghost of a Chance (+0): While RAINBOW may be a multinational team, there is something to be said about good old American know-how. And good old Americans like Doctor Werner Von Braun Ghost Recon. With this, you can select to be a part of the Ghost Recon continuity. Alternatively, you may choose to include Ghost Recon as a part of this universe’s history. It’s a little unorthodox, but you can expect

 Part Deux (+0): …alright, what did you do? US Special Forces infiltrating Iraqi prison compounds in the jungle? Clark retiring to a Buddhist monastery after years as a black-ops-fighter-pilot? Saddam able to melt like T-1000!?! Why does the President keep wishing you good luck and reminding that people are counting on you? Somehow you wandered into a Zuckers-and-Abrahams parody production of Tom Clancy in the vein of Airplane, Police Squad, and Hot Shots!. Things are going to be very silly.

If you have taken similar drawbacks, like in the Great Detective jump, you can opt to merge it with this world and continue your adventures at an even greater level of insanity.

You may be thinking “Surely he can’t be serious?”

Well I am serious, and don’t call me Shirley.

 Silent But Deadly (+100): Every 3 steps you take, you release a very audible fart. Even if you muffle it with the best suppressors available on the market, the noxious fumes still chime enough that the room is aware. This is not a good thing for anyone to have. Any. One. On the plus side, with enough research it can be weaponized to be as effective as the one used in the Moscow Theater hostage situation of 2002. Which is good and bad.

 A Soldier's Price (+100 for each injury, up to 400): The battlefield took something from you. Whether it was a terrorist attack, war injury, or just appeared painfully as you awoke, it hurt. A lot. Thankfully, it's healed, but even with the best prosthetics you are limited. Fully mechanical arms break with annoying regularity, cloned replacements wilt in agony till removed. You'll just have to live with it. May make you ineligible for active duty, if applicable. Can choose between: Each eye, arm, and leg.

 Lucky Number 16 (+100): Command decided to make a strategic reevaluation and you are only able to deploy sixteen members of RAINBOW to any one operation at a time. While that is the normal number, it is It doesn't matter what the situation is, you aren't getting any more then sixteen soldiers under your command at once (directly or indirectly).

o Hateful Eight (+100): Post-Soviet drawdown is a drag. Eight brave soldiers in the field. o Four is Death (+100): Look, all you really need is one element, right? I mean, you guys are the BEST, so 4 against 30 is fine, right? o Lone Wolf (+100): You are in it alone, soldier, only one person can be sent per mission.

 Terrorist Hunt (+100): Every couple of months, you will discover pockets of terrorists who have taken over an area around the globe, usually urban. There will be no hostages or civilians in the way, but you can expect heavily armed infantry who are dedicated to securing the designated zone. There will be between 20-50 of them and you must clear them out in a single infantry operation. Sieges have no impact, bombings don't seem to work beyond ensuring collateral damage, and you better get it done within a month or it's a fail condition.

 The Comeback Kid (+100): Oh, here's a nice one. Edward Kealty, sleazy bag politician of the century. Originally a Senator who became VP following the resignation of President Fowler, Kealty ended up losing the position after allegation surfaced that he raped a staffer. He later caused a succession crisis when he contested Jack Ryan after saying that the paperwork for his resignation wasn't filed. Kealty later won executive office after Robby Jackson's assassination, earning him the nickname. He reversed all of President's Ryans reforms and failed miserably at counterterrorism, then tried to have John Clark arrested to smear Ryan for the next election. Eventually, they reveal a conspiracy against Ryan and arrest key members of the administration, leading to Kealty losing the White House. Basically, a real paragon of the public service virtue.

With this drawback, you join Jack Ryan and John Clark on the Kealty shitlist. Every opportunity available he will try to block you. Even if you aren't a US citizen, he will find ways to pull strings to make life problematic. Tangos can expect him to push for your inclusion on watchlists and even targeted killing.

 Nasty Habits (+100): It isn't uncommon for people in stressful positions to pick up a little bit of a relaxing hobby. For some, it can become a problem. You aren't there yet, but it still difficult and you will find yourself absentmindedly going for your prefered product. Choose between alcohol, tobacco, or any other common soft drug (cannabis, antidepressants, etc). Anything other than alcohol and tobacco runs the risk of having negative effects on your employment unless there are serious considerations in your favor.

o I'm Stuck With A Valuable Friend (+100 each up to +300): You are a full-blown addict now, at least physically, to some of the more dangerous substances. Backgrounds other than Drop- In will also have some mental effects of addiction in their history. Overcoming it is going to be difficult, withdrawal can be fatal if done incorrectly. Either way, you are going to have to be fairly straight edge from now on unless you want to risk relapse and it will be perceived as a security risk.

 It's My Life and It's My Wife (+200): You have a crippling addiction to opioids, particularly morphine and heroin. You won't get completely clean during the jump, it will always be a centerpiece of the years here. Being functional will be difficult if you don't manage it, and it will take active work over the years to deal with the disadvantage.

 The Bleeding Heart (+100): You abhor violence in all its forms and strongly believe that a peaceful resolution is almost always possible. This will cause irritation among compatriots from your self- righteousness, and dealing with situations where such an outcome is unlikely or impossible can be dangerous. While you are able to take lives if necessary, unless you try to make an effort to get it resolved without violence you will feel guilty. This doe

o Technically Pacifist (+100, Requires Bleeding Heart): Killing is no longer approved and will haunt you for the longest time if you make that leap. Thankfully the philosophical guidelines you follow, be it religious or sectarian, are fairly ambivalent on the subject of kneecaps.

 The Path of Rosenfield (+300 CP, Requires Technically Pacifist): "Now you listen to me. While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is that I am a naysayer and hatchetman in the fight against violence. I pride myself in taking a punch and I'll gladly take another because I choose to live my life in the company of Gandhi and King. My concerns are global. I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love.

I love you, Sheriff Truman"

The path you walk is a strange and difficult one, perhaps requiring more than you are able to give. But maybe… maybe you can do it. Maybe love is the key.

 We Got A Lot of Eyes on This One, Don't Let Me Down (+200): the proliferation of modern telecommunications technology has been a threat to the intelligence community for a while. With new instant worldwide community, trillions of documents online, and leaping innovations in technology means you are going to have a harder time keeping operations under wrap. There always seems to be very nosy reporters interested in the Men In Black, some young vlogger with a cellphone during the breach-and-clear, or an auditor asking too many questions about $100 spoons. Either way, expect to be at risk of being in the public eye for all the good and bad (mostly bad) that exists for a secret international counterterror organization.

 A Young Man's Game (+200): Your age is now 1d8+45 for all backgrounds except for Veteran Black Ops, who is now 1d8+50. You are feeling the weight of all those years doing hard stuff, and damn does it hurt. Medicine can help manage it, but even futuristic or supernatural solutions only dull the constant droning (actually to a lesser degree then era appropriate stuff). Even with perks to ignore pain and age, you feel like a dried apple most days and can expect an uncomfortable amount of pain if you aren't careful. There are quite a few complications that can derive from these, particularly health related; thankfully, nothing will be lethal to you unless you push too far. Alternate forms are subject to the same stresses. There are some unique benefits and drawbacks for each background. If you desire, backgrounds can also opt for not having a family included (except Drop In who gets nothing), but the emotional isolation might have taken a toll in your past.

o Drop In: You're an old man and people feel inclined to be more understanding and accepting of your behavior. This will only go so far. But you are also obsessed with personal finance frugality, so expect a lot of blue plate specials in your future.

Maybe you can show everyone you are only a harmless old person… mmm, biscuits and gravy…

o RAINBOW: Sorry old timer, but you are way too ripe to be in the field. Unless you can demonstrate your suitability to be a frontline counterterrorist, which might require a medical regiment of questionable drugs, you are going to be stuck in training or a support position. Even if you make it, you will slowly reach the inevitable point where it just won't work. Which isn't exactly terrible, seeing as you've got kids (or not) to take care of. A plus is that the men respect you as the paragon of soldiery and are more than willing to buy you a brew for some stories.

Maybe you can still be a part of the team… o Intelligence Analyst: Depends on your preference. You may have stayed in the private sector for some years, making quite a bit of bank, before dedicating to government service. Or you may have thrown yourself into decades of mind-numbing analyst work for the payment of becoming a midlevel manager in the agency. You have either a nice nest egg to keep your large family (or yourself) in good shape or the clout from being a civil servant to rub noses with important people. The downside is you need to keep your family taken care of and the time spent in this mindnumbing job has unfortunately made you more reserved and conservative in your ideas, which has impacted your analysis skill compared to younger risk takers.

Maybe you can get some of that old energy back… o Veteran Black Ops: This is no job for old men, but you keep hanging in. No matter how dark, no matter how bad, no matter what sort of crap they've thrown at you, the job still has gotten done. Although age has worn down your body, a lifetime of fighting means that your body will be far more tough then most people your age, leaving you more capable in combat then other backgrounds (you will still feel old though).

Even if you never got your name in the paper, never had your praises sung on the 4th of July, it has not been without some perks. The Washington intel establishment adores you, and you've received quite a few accolades (even a medal or two!) from people as high up as the President. Of course, no one will ever know the extent of your duties, but you can count on quite a few contacts to pull strings if needed be. The downside is that you are also well- known in rival circles, so that even if they cannot put a face or a name, they will be looking out for you.

Even though you may be far more able in combat then other aging soldier in spite of your exterior, younger professionals will still recognize the darkness in your eyes. For allies, it means they will give you a wide berth and treat you with reverence, hoping to get some new training from a vet. If an competent enemy gets a good look, however, they will know you are the real deal and give you priority targeting. It's also left you with a plenty of emotional baggage hidden behind a harsh façade and either a confirmed bachelor or isolated from your family. You've spent such a long time in the dark that you may not ever be able to readapt to the light.

Maybe this is the way it was meant to be… o Tango: The only thing rarer than an old spook is an old terrorist. You are probably one of the original members of the cause. You gain significantly more respect from your organization affiliates, the general populace, and even your enemies, along with a hefty bonus to survivability. There aren't many old rebels, so they need to be cunning and strong to make it far in so many years.

The downside is that you are feeling that pricks of time against your flesh. You feel older and less enthusiastic about the cause, with occasional nightmares and melancholy leaving you wondering if all the blood spilt has been worth it. This will make everyday existence a little more tiresome, you will less useful in combat, and violent actions will start weighing heavily on your heart. However, if you decide to pursue peaceful means, then people will give your words far more consideration and even radicals within your cause will pause with hesitation.

Maybe all that is needed for the revolution to succeed is the right man to call for peace… or for war.

 If They See You, That's It (+200): Occasionally, you will be given missions where stealth is the most important objective. The problem is that these missions have a tendency to turn incredibly violent, thus compromising entire operations. This is very frustrating and can has catastrophic consequences for the world.

 Some Dance to Remember… (+200): Another dream, another fantastical land. You know it is only your mind making up stories, but it all seems so vivid. Like you were actually there. Maybe if you try harder you can catch another glimpse…

o …Some Dance to Forget (+200): Oh no, not again. Whenever you close your eyes, flashes of unspeakable things appear before you. Every blink is a moment spent away from reality and it gets longer each time. Drugs will only keep you sane for a while, the madness is imbedded so far in your mind that it will take all your strength to overcome the awful visions.

 Running Gun Blues (+200): There is a darkness fermenting in your soul, the price of Dionysius: bloodlust. The violent impulses that plague your mind are controllable, but difficult to manage even with heroic willpower, meaning that any combat may result in you losing control. While you will not purposefully harm allies or civilians, if you go on instincts you won't be able to control yourself. It also mean that you are marked as a modern berserker in your past, affecting your assignments severely. Rainbow operatives will be kept on tight leashes and watched closely by brothers-in-arms for any sign of weakness. Intelligence Analysts will be required to go through anger management workshops if they lose their tempers, and any field work will have dedicated supervision. Black Ops is the one place where this fits in like a glove, but it also means that you are considered expendable by your superiors if things go even slightly wrong. Even Drop-Ins present an aura of danger that all people pick up on, regardless of your form, marking you as "Kill/Arrest/GTFO Immediately".

 A Clear(ish) and Present Danger (+200): The line between right and wrong is a thin one, and it keeps getting thinner. Self-interest rules the hearts of many a public servant in the government even more than normal, and they will do whatever it takes to stay in power. Black operations, illegal wiretaps, political assassination, you name it, they'll do it. The kind, outraged president who ordered combat troops into Colombia to fight the Cartels is very willing to let them all die to protect his own ass, and almost all his subordinates will be willing to follow. Circumstance will force you between doing the right thing and suffering, or abandoning most morals you have for a chance to become a Player behind the scenes. Choosing the high road will cost you much, maybe even too much to justify doing the right thing. Regardless of your decision, these plots are going to entangle you one way or another, and your life is just about to get a lot more interesting.

 And Over, and Over, and Over… (+200): You are bound to follow the plotline, and circumstance finds you getting close to many characters. Deaths will happen, there is little you can do to change it, and each time feels like a sword through the heart. Apparently some things are destined to occur no matter what.

 A (+200 CP): Choose between John Clark and Jack Ryan. Whichever you picked, congrats, you two are going be best buddies. At least, you should be since their death is a fail condition. For the duration of your stay, you need to keep your charge alive. Unfortunately their plot-armor has been reduced so while they won't die from some bullshit contrivance, you will need to be by their side more often than not. o A Familial Connection (+100): That protection extends to the immediate family. Now you got a few more people to take care of. o Two Families Alike (+100): Now you are to protect both the Ryan and Clark families from harm.

 Speak About Destruction (+300 CP): This is a world destruction, your life ain't nothing. The human race is becoming a disgrace. Countries are fighting with chemical warfare. Not giving a damn about the people who live. Nostradamus predicts the coming of the Antichrist. Hey, look out, the third world nations are on the rise. The Democratic-Communist Relationship, won't stand in the way of the Islamic force. The CIA is looking for you. The KGB is smarter than you think. Brainwash mentalities to control the system. Using TV and movies - religions of course. Yes, the world is headed for destruction. Is it a nuclear war? What are you asking for?

(+300): This world has had more than its fair share of brushes with weapons of mass destruction. But it looks like that yellow cake is as prevalent as its non-radioactive namesake, and plenty of baddies who want to use it. Nuclear proliferation is the buzzword, and if you aren't careful then you’ll have front row seats to Armageddon.

On the brighter side: if the bomb that drops on you, gets your friends and neighbors too, there’ll be nobody left behind to grieve.

 RAINBOW Reserve (+300): A devastating strike wipes out the entire RAINBOW team. Clark, Ding, everyone. All that's left is you, your companions, and a bunch of redshirts with balaclavas. None of them are as refined as the original team, but with some work you might be able to survive this seemingly lethal blow.

 The Serpent and the RAINBOW (+300): Out of the corpse of the Soviet Union, something grew. Ugly, dark, corrupting; maybe it was even there before the fall. Regardless, it's tendrils have spread into the heart of the modern world. Politicians and businessmen around the globe owe their allegiance to it. Warlords trade diamonds for arms and slaves. Rogue nations and terrorists bid for weapons of mass destruction. It's goals are nothing less than total domination. It is a blight that has taken root across the globe, and it will enslave mankind if it is not stopped. And the only hope is RAINBOW.

 Tactical Espionage Action (+300): At first glance, the world is much as it seemed before. Upon closer look, things become… strange. Walking nuclear arsenals, supernatural soldiers, genetic engineering, combat mechas, cyborg ninjas, memetic warfare, the long winded philosophical discussions, fanservice, and the occasionally out-of-place cultural references. The stakes are higher than ever as you try to work in a geopolitical situation that is at best comparable to a gasoline-soaked tinderbox at Burning Man. When every Tom, Dick, and Harry can get their own mobile nuclear platform and psychic gas masked goons, you are going to have your work cut out for you.

 Endwar (+300): The year is 2020, and the world stands on the brink of World War Three. Following the implosion of the Middle East, causing gas prices to rise, Russia has become the only major exporter of oil and thus a world power. The US and European Federation (sans UK) had put an anti-ICBM shield in space to end the threat of nuclear Armageddon; however, the US has constructed the Freedom Star military platform, upsetting the balance of power and leading the EF to leave NATO. Soon a massive false-flag operation is launched by Russia under the guise of terrorists leads to the destruction of the Freedom Star by the missile shield, sending the globe into a ménage a trois for the future of the globe.

Unfortunately for RAINBOW, they happen to be in the middle of the crossfire. The end of NATO means that RAINBOW is no longer supported. Team mates will leave, many joining their home nation's side to fight against those with whom they once worked to protect the free world. Soon the dream of an international counterterror group will be little more than history. And unluckily enough, you have the job of trying to get it back together. Your objective is to stop the conflict and ensure that Rainbow serves as enforcer of a new international peace.

(+600 CP): You did something incredibly unwise, you pissed off John Kelly. Not Clark, Kelly, the darkness that eventually evolved into John Clark. Whether he got information about your responsibility for the sins in his past, or are just a really wanted terrorist, the man is aware of you now. Worse, he knows about all your powers and has gone to ground, developing countermeasures against you. RAINBOW and Ding are his first line of defense, and they will come after you. They will be heavily armed and upgraded to neutralize your abilities, so you better be a far superior tactician to get out alive. Jack Ryan and other intelligence officers will take affront to your continued existence, proceeding to work around the clock to develop analysis tools to predict your movements and engage in psychological warfare. Even sworn enemies of the team, be it Russian KGB and Spetsnaz or Real IRA and Red Faction Army, will put aside their grudges with Clark to remove a threatening transdimensional being. The whole world is against you and they WILL find out how to kill you, so you aren't going to win a straight fight or even a heavily rigged one. This is going to be a constant problem for the duration of your stay, so you better start running.
