TECHNICAL INFORMATION FOR ARTWORK • High quality resolution of minimum 240 dpi • PDF files produced with Acrobat Distiller ONLY, saved as Press Optimized or better as NewspaperAds_1v4 (from Ghent PDF Workgroup - 2008 specifications - PDF-1a and certified if possible • Illustrator EPS is the best format for all line art and logos. EPS files must include all fonts and images (we prefer fonts to be vectorized when supplying Illustrator EPS files) • High resolution JPEG or TIFF image files (resolution 300 dpi) always in CMYK (no RGB files) • To have your ad displayed correctly in the newspaper, it is important that all pictures and artwork are assigned the ISO Web Coated profile. Percentage of CMYK colours in your artwork must be at least 10% (preferably 15%) • Always use Postcript or OpenType fonts (no TrueType or MM Fonts) • When using light text on dark background, please use sans-serif fonts only and ensure the text is large enough to be legible in a newspaper (minimum 9 points).
