International Conference

on Interface between Chemistry and Environment (ICICE)

13-14th December 2012

Dear Colleagues, We have the pleasure to invite you to the International Conference on Interface between Chemistry and Environment (ICICE) that will be held in New , , on December 13 to 14, 2012. The conference is organized by Department of Chemistry, Ramjas College, University of Delhi.

You will be happy to note that, one of the founders of Green Chemistry, Professor John C. Warner, President & Chief Technology Officer, Warner Babcock Institute for Green Chemistry, Wilmington, MA, USA will be delivering the key note address in this conference.

The recent advances in all discipline of chemistry to meet the diverse challenges thrown by globalization causes deterioration of our environment and needs significant attention. In order to move with equal pace with growing demands of human and to ensure safeguard of our environment, it is essential to take preventive meas- ures with sustainable solutions. It is therefore imperative to promote environmental benign chemistry, which contributes to avoid and reduce risks posed by dangerous chemicals and pollutants for the environment as well as for human health. It can also contribute to a decrease of resource consumption including energy and provides incentives for innovation to enterprises and scientists. This conference aims to bring together Scientists, indus- try professional, researchers with multidisciplinary professional background in Chemistry and Environmental Sciences, where they will get ample opportunity to share and discuss the latest scientific results, views and de- velopments in their respective fields. This conference will help to get a comprehensive view on what has al- ready been done and future prospects to design effective and sustainable approaches to ensure safe environ- ment. Emerging young talents will be enthused and inspired to undertake research in sustainable chemistry and environmental sciences. The conference will focus on thrust areas. Technical sessions, Poster sessions will address new developments and trends in sustainable chemistry and its future prospects. The official language of the conference is English.
