. Federal Judges rule Against the Little Sisters of the Poor - Calvin Frie- burger, www.lifesitenews.com, writes, “The Sisters of the Poor have been fighting the ‘Obamacare’ mandate since 2013. Mother Maguire of the Little Sisters commented, ‘We just want to be able to continue our religious mission of caring for the elderly poor as we have over 175 years. We pray that these state govern- ments will leave us alone and let us do our work in peace.’ Paul Bois in the Daily Wire argues that defenders of the mandate ‘neglect, ignore, or simply lie about the fact that women who want birth control will still be able to get it, given that [it’s] provided in virtually every drug store.’” https://tinyurl.com/y7tvhpmu

Youngest black legislator in US is pro-life and pro-God - Calvin Freiburger, www.lifesitenews.com, writes, “Caleb Hanna, an 18-year-old high school senior, beat the incumbent democrat, winning his bid for a seat in the House of Delegates in West Virginia. As a third-grader, he watched Barack Obama rise to the presiden- cy and thought, ‘I can do that. God, guns, and babies pretty much sums up my political philosophy,’ adding that, ‘the Democrat party is incompatible with my values on the right to life and other issues.’ West Virgini- ans approved a ballot initiative clarifying that the state Constitution contains no ‘right’ to abortion.” https://tinyurl.com/yb3wryg7

SIT-UP 4 LIFE; Teen does 10,0000 sit-ups to raise funds for pregnancy center ultrasounds - Anna Reynolds, www.liveaction.org, writes, “Dean Yunghans started at age 8 doing 250 sit-ups to beat his sister after she did 200. By age 10, he could do 1,000 sit-ups and at 16, he did 6,000. Then, still 16, in January he performed 10,000 sit-ups in public to fundraise for pre-life pregnancy centers. It took 10+ hours and he raised more than $5,000. The money was used to provide free ultrasounds to those facing unplanned pregnancies. Yunghans encouraged is peers to use their own unique talents. ‘If they pursue excellence in whatever God has gifts them to do, and they take the pro-life cause seriously, He will fit the pieces together as He did for me. I would also encourage them to pray for His guidance for their lives.’” https://tinyurl.com/ya3kqk3f

Virtue of the Week: Prayerfulness Prayerfulness is being still, listening, and being willing to talk to God like a friend.

Prayerfulness Looks Like:

Folding hands when I pray Focusing on Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament Looking at the priest during mass Kneeling in the pew Closing your song book quietly

Prayerfulness Sounds Like:

 Silence
